Eccles was at fault for their goal and just didn't do enough for me
Eccles got caught in possession agreed but there were still 6 players between them and scoring. I include Desilva for failing to mark Stacey As for not doing enough love to see the stats. Think he got through a great deal of very good work trying to break up their attacks and setting up our own .Like I said many times frustrated by lack of movement up front.

About half the team is responsible in my view. We've done something like it in nearly every game so far, sometimes punished sometimes not.

If we don’t hear it at Bristol I’m breaking out the big guns and doing an acoustic guitar version on YouTube.
I’m hoping as we approach Christmas, the powerful choir we have, we might get “Joel Latibeaudiere” to the tune of “I’m walking in the air”

I obviously wasn't at the same game as you Eccles 4 and Allen 5. According to BBC stats.we had 3 shot on target and Eccles had 2 of those.I thought we did far better in midfield today . IMHO lack of movement off the ball from our front 2 let us down(closing down and trying to lose their marker).More than once Allen and Eccles looked up to make a forward pass and had to be content passing sideways because no forward pass was on.
And in that case Eccles et al have to take more responsibility and drive forward rather than the easy sideways/backwards safe pass that we oh so often see.

Wilson 5 need to see goal back but looked saveable from where I was , and da silva clapped and encouraged him as if he’d had a mare

Thomas 6 he’s going to be decent in future but at moment needs to improve touch and stop going on dribbles diagonally in own half into trouble

McFad 7
Kitching 6 I prefer Binks
Saka 7 not quite getting the motm shouts for him. But ref def wasn’t liking him
Eccles 7 really impressive last 20 mins trying to get a goal
Allen 6 not as effective in the deeper role
Ayari 7 proper mixed bag - def has talent but at moment is 50:50 everytime gets ball whether will leave us exposed to a counter or create a chance for u
Da silva 7 solid as normal- worked good openings first half.
Simms 6
Wright 4

All the subs were great when they came on

In regards to Bobby thomas , it's amazing what you miss really , I focused on 1 poor pass too much because he's had a stormer
Can have an error in him but I've always been a big fan. The raw ingredients are there for all to see and I think he'll improve rapidly.

I'd agree with that though my chalk a point of Eccles for his error leading to the goal.
A lot of your comments are spot on in my opinion.

I have to say I don’t really understand the fan fair around Eccles. Constantly loses the ball being too casual, if they turn possession over and break he often has a jog back when others are over taking him racing back to get numbers behind the ball. He always has too many touches inside our box, he did it against Blackburn and got caught in possession but luckily wasn’t punished, today he was. He work rate is non existent, he often stands in no man’s land defensively and gets it passed around him or better players just walk past him effortlessly. He backs out of 50/50s. Doesn’t press and when he needs to tells others to do it for him. One example was in the second half, him and Tatsu came out to 2 players out on the wing, Tats was covering the overlapping winger and Josh needed to press the midfielder and he was shouting at Tatsu to leave the winger free and press the midfielder whilst he himself was jockeying empty space. Luckily Tatsu had his head screwed on and ignored him.

Watched the replay of the game and thought Eccles was very good aside from the error in the lead up to the goal (there was plenty to do for them to score after that anyway).

Agree with this. In respect of their goal I'm not sure why Fadz was drawn from the middle to double up on a player Kitching was already marking. If Fadz had been defending centrally it would have been a lot harder for Rowe to have had the space to score.

As G mentioned yesterday it’ll be interesting to see if Saka and MVE both start at Bristol, seemed a lot more balanced to me.
I'm not convinced he's brave enough to do that from the start. I'd love to see it but it's not very Robins.

He is a stickler for repeating things that worked in the previous game, so he might. Also depends on MVE’s fitness but he looked pretty sharp all things considered when he came on.

I think Eccles is doing just fine and he is still learning.

He does so much that is decent, but every little mistake seems to get micro-analysed within its life for some reason.

From what I have seen of him, I have been quite impressed and I think he will get better.

I’m no massive Eccles fan but he was the best player on the pitch in the first half, but unfortunately was culpable for the goal which led to him going back into his shell until the last 20 minutes when again he done well.

I have just got back to a wet & cold Scotland. I wasn’t confident of getting anything from the game on the way down mainly due to our lack of options in midfield and was delighted with what I saw. We are turning into a very good team with good players to come back in. The only negative was Wright who didn't seem to put any effort in, I thought he would play behind Simms not the other way round but he has to do more than yesterday otherwise there's no point starting with him. Very impressed with midfield 3, Tatsu and Milan & Lats when they came on. With more options in midfield to return I wouldn't be surprised to see us return to the box midfield with just 1 up top. We deserved to win & never gave up right to the end of the ludicrous 4 minutes injury time & the SBA were fantastic. I thought Norwich were poor, especially 2nd half and their fans did a brilliant impression of a yellow mural in the 2nd half.
