Wonder if anyone can answer this?

i've heard that SISUs costs so far if you include ACLs come in at between 1.5 to 2 million pounds,if they go through with this and lose again what is the estimated cost in total that will ultimately be loaded onto the club?

Would love to see Cov playing in Cov, however really feel ACL should not do a deal with Sisu. Would prefer to see us start again under new owners.

Just wonder if they are using this as a bargaining chip in any negotiations that may take place, ie. offer us a fair rental agreement and access to revenues and we drop it.?

Why, would ACL need to. The appeal has no chance of succeeding. I think ACL should play hard ball now. With the payment earlier in the week they don't need to rush, whereas sisu can now expect less than 1k out sixfields.

Not unexpected. TF indicated thatey would be when he distinced Otium (the club) from the litigation. I shall be staying away from all games now until somehting positive happens. By the way RFC - please don't!! In all seriousness - don't (that if he hasn't already - not read the whole thread)

@TheSimonGilbert: Sisu always said would appeal. ACL accepted less than £590k towards Ricoh debt. Appeal might not be barrier we think.
ACL didn't "accept" the lesser sum, they got what was decided. I don't recall any comment from ACL on this yet.
It is no guideline as to whether the appeal condition will be relaxed.

How can you reasonably hope for negotitations......its like negotiating with a terrorist.. we all want the hostage out alive... but the oxygen is running out.. the captors strangle hold released by the successive and damning verdicts delivered, completely ignored in the name of a 'cause' , that cause being ownership of the Ricoh and the rush for $ollars.

Its so so wrong on so so many levels.....

It appears that SISU are very much a one trick pony in their approach to negotiation.

"Play hardball", "batter the other side" etc etc. that's fine if you win, but that seems to be less and less likely as the days go by.

Will there come a point at which they see the need to build some metaphorical bridges?

As Einstein said, the definition of insanity is to carry on doing the same thing and expect a different result.

I hope that in parallel to this disappointing news, they are talking to ACL and stressing that they will be keen to drop the appeal if a settlement can be agreed - and I hope that, if so, they are being realistic about what might be achievable.

I give up with this lot, been away for three weeks and were no further forward. At the risk of being insensitive I think we need to build a whicker man on the hill at sixfields and hope we catch a couple of conmen or women, fit and proper my arse. NOPM

... ACL will just wait. They have just had a cash injection from Sisu and were breaking even anyway.

As has been said though everyone (including ACL) know that Sisu haven't a chance of winning. Therefore I don't see the JR threat holding much weight in negotiations. If anything it will make ACL less likely to give into Sisu's demands as it is just creating bad blood between them.

Also I might be wrong on this, but my understanding is an appeal will just be Sisu in a courtroom, therefore no defence costs for ACL.

When do we hear if the Court of Appeal will look at this? Is there a period of a week weeks in which SISU have to be told yes/no in terms of whether they get another hearing?

If this really is the way that SISU go about negotiating, then it's no great surprise that it all fell apart the first time around. I appreciate the theory that you don't want to lose the threat of an appeal as a bargaining chip, but ultimately this sort of approach is just going to harden attitudes towards them.

All of this talk of renconciliation is cant hypocrisy. SISU have shown again and again that they simply cannot be trusted.

Who could possibly negotiate with them when they keep pulling stunts like this? They dispute every single thing, they leave every payment, and every court move until the last minute. They pretend to be trying harder to engage, and yet once again they show that they care not a single jot about the fans.

SISU had a chance here to get people on their side for once, and all they'd really had to have done was do nothing. Let the appeal die, and then the pressure would have been firmly on ACL. But they can't help themselves - these serial chancers demand yet another day in court on the spurious line that they took too big a beating last time. I sincerely hope they get their arses kicked again, and that it costs them another small fortune to have it done.

One day they'll run out of options, and one day they'll be gone from the club. I can't wait.

Sixfields and the minimal attendance is irrelevant.

900 non Cardiff supporters, well there probably was some Cardiff and independents within that 900, would be interesting to know how many were full price tickets.

The appeal was hardly unanticipated, very clearly stated that it would happen.

I wonder what the basis is, no doubt it will come out over time.

Hopefully this will put an end to back the Ricoh threads, but probably not.

No new evidence can be submitted. The only basis that an appeal can take place is if Justice Hickinbottom interpreted the law wrong.

Utter bollocks, let's hope this is struck down at the first hurdle and we can move on. This signals another couple of months in battle with ACL at worst, it's just depressing. They don't even want to try and come back, anyone who believes they do is frankly a fool, just yet more ham fisted PR.

ACL won't be bothered, I mean they have nothing to hide right?

This post would've made sense in May.

It will be a barrier, it bloody well should be. You can't deal with people like that..

It could be a bargaining tool while they negotiate? It can always be withdrawn. Just trying to see a positive in what blatantly appears a negative!

bargaining tool? you dont take a hammer to crack an egg...

of course it will. SISU wouldn't put these costs onto their own accounts.

ACL are to blame.

If Simon is correct and this appeal won't stop negotiations then common sense has prevailed from at least ACL's side I think. Just have to hope it is contagious if they meet to discuss!

What a bunch of drama queens. Wishing someone a slow and painful death, cancer of our club. FFS they always said they were going to appeal. Its not really news is it? What is news though is Mr Gilbert's tweet about it being no barrier to negotiations. That's got to be positive surely.

In the fairness of debate, is there any comment from the Sixfileders to make any sense of this ?
As has been clear all along it is the only bargaining tool they've got. Otherwise, to be frank, they're at the mercy of the not so generous ACL.
