O’Hare (2 Viewers)

I believe that if we had a fully committed & focused (don't laugh) Enobakhare he would have done sod all in this league anyway, and would have got disheartened and just delayed the inevitable by 3-months.

Being generous, our budget is short on 2 decent players.

What also frustrates me about o hare and Allen is that they are always outpaced and just outmuscled on the ball. For me, and it's obviously not their fault, I think they get eaten alive by dominant midfields. Allen yesterday broke the lines and had 20 yards of space to run into and before he'd even got control of the ball he'd been swallowed up and dispossessed. Happens every week. They don't have the pace or the strength

For the O'Hare naysayers. If you were Robins, who would you replace him with in our squad?

We've seen Shipley can't do that role, we've seen that Allen can't do it either.
That is a real issue that I'm sure MR will address in the next pre season, goals from midfield is what has cost us a play off place this season, I'd be happy to sell O'hare if needs be to add a goalscoring midfielder.

Losing these games we should be easily winning is so frustrating but imo with a stronger midfield O’Hare would be much better might not be the biggest but he’s one of the most competitive players we have a poser for MR but getting a tough acm in has to be a priority and will help O’Hare.

The owners are not going to invest a penny and much the opposite, they’re going to help themselves as and when a player goes for a big fee. Robins is delivering mid table on a basement budget, give him a middling one and we turn games like yesterday into the heavy wins they should be.
You have said, along with others, that the owners won’t, don’t invest. Then why make it your mantra to bang on about it?
It is obvious that we are short of goals from midfield. That’s our Achilles heel.

Because discussion on how to improve on what we have or how to make the best of what we’ve got is a bit meaningless when the answer is simply we don’t have owners bothered about success on the pitch

But if O'Hare is as average as people say on this thread, he won't be going to anyone for much more than a million.

A million won't get you a goalscoring midfielder at this level.

Derby were odds on for relegation before the season started, but if they hadn't had a massive point deduction they would now be within 2 games of overtaking us!

You could argue that they have over achieved with the squad they have, or you could argue that we have let far too many points slip away by not being ruthless in front of goal.

(You could argue both tbf)
But for me, a lack of goals from midfield and set pieces is the biggest problem.

Well actually yes it is meaningless. You said so yourself.

It is meaningless then to talk about anything that’s not definitely going to happen - didn’t stop you talking about the Hoff and the poker player I seem to Recall?

How is this even a thread? If you can’t see the plethora of attributes COH brings to the team then I’m not sure what to say.

Judging players solely on goals scored is dinosaur thinking (lost track of the number of times I’ve put that on here over the years).

His finishing (or lack of) is of course frustrating, but that doesn’t solely apply to him. His ability to make things happen in the attacking third, often in tight positions, with his back to goal and surrounded by players, is unparalleled in our team.

We are a work in progress
I suspect we will see things start to come together in the next two or three months
We aren't far off in my opinion
The management know where the problems are and it's plain they are working to fix them

Clearly they’re doing the best they can but they’re working with no support from above. That’s the issue most are having

Been through your files again. Could have happened, could have ridden the club of Sisu. Didn’t happen no harm done to you or me. Open minded.
You on the other hand, you type like you have a lemon in your mouth and life has dealt you a bad hand. If you ever need anything reach out.

The way I see it is we're doing around twice as well as the previous visit in this division for around half of or even a quarter of the budget if you take into account damaging losses that took us to the precipice.
Not withstanding debt to the owner's etc and whatever that means or entails IE stranglehold.

Derby have a better squad than us and many in this division. If they stay up, it's not the biggest miracle in history that we keep hearing.

I said similar yesterday, we learn to win those types of games and we are in the playoffs. It’s pretty clear where the issues are and the management team have always solved them and moved us forward previously.

It was never going to happen 😂

4 in 70 odd games for us . He needs to score or assist and does neither.
For me the amount of chances he creates get wasted by the strikers ,who with the exception of godden walker and Viktor there not at the necessary level finishing wise .with walker whose all round quality is a league below,Viktor whose overall play is quality apart from finishing.
I can imagine O'Hare avoids this media like the plague.
What is it about a lot of people always needing a scapegoat boo boy.

Perhaps they should stop paying their PAYE for a couple of years?
