His mum dying and getting no backing from the club other than select players is probably why

Getting no backing sounds a bit mad.

Policy of going with AV's old pals was hardly working. He's been given a lot of good players. I'm not having it that DK (apparently) refusing Matty James gives MR a 'he didn't support me!' card to play here.

Depends on whos fault it is that the squad is totally unbalanced
No Leader / No decent left back / Weak midfield

if that is MR - then correct decision
If not, then the wrong person has gone

King's aim is 100% working towards getting promoted within the next few seasons; we're a long way from that at the moment, so it's not a surprise. Personally, I have little faith in King finding the right replacement though.
I genuinely don’t know who is likely to be better than MR.
Having said that, I also thought that Erol Bulet at Cardiff was gonna work wonders this season.
Do we know if MR has ‘lost the dressing room’?
Also sounds like he had some personal shit going on.

This is devastating and so premature.

Underlying data suggests we are a decent team but not had any luck. Didn't give him the time he deserved to turn it around properly. Very strange timing considering yesterday was a freak result after wins.

I forsee new manager comes in, team picks up for a bit and finishes top ten. Optimism in the summer and then we start badly. New manager sacked. Cycle continues like the old championship times.
That’s the danger isn’t it

Absolutely knew this was on the cards head coach not a manager, robins ran this club top to bottom and did it amazingly well, DKs ego couldn’t take it, some puppet to come in.

Pathetic

Mate, don't make it sexist - that's even sillier that your first comment.

Why single her out to 'put her money where her mouth is' and not Doug?

Things obviously aren't great at the minute but there's many reasons why we are where we are. Singling one person out is nonsense.

I personally think the reason this season hasn't gone to plan is because the club changed the firm who organises their away hotel accommodation but that's just me.

You can’t sack the owner mate.

My issue with the set up from day one has been that it removes power from the manager but not responsibility. It only works if you’ve got people around that are quality so losing one doesn’t matter as much. When you have absolute garbage around you end up sacking the one person with a track record because all the others are untouchable and unaccountable for their results.

Psychology has been the issue and mentality of those coming in. Even if she wasn’t put on a level with the manager I’d be asking why she’s not been fired as an abject failure. She is categorically worse than the nothing we had before.

Even if that wasn’t the case she’s been alongside Robins all along. When does her judgement happen? Or the transfer policy that’s been shite? When are those people held accountable.

People are star struck cos they’ve heard big clubs do it so we must but it’s an accountability nightmare.

Some people just won’t brook any criticism because some of its been sexist but there’s been a consistent strand of valid non gender related criticism about this structure from the start that’s only ever been defended with the childish “it’s elite tho” bollocks.

Give it Dr Claire until the end of the season. Let her put her money where her mouth is.

This is a very weird angle, mate.

It's like demanding Newey start running the pit wall if Marko had fired Horner. She's not a coach or a manager. She's paid to make recommendations and decisions about how the club's run, not how to deliver a team talk and respond to a Rudoni howler.

Gutted for MR and those of us who have enjoyed the ride, but Jordan talking some sense on talksport, let King explain himself at the forum, we don't know what's been going on behind the scenes.

The logical conclusion being we should be a one man band coaching wise like a pub team?

It's so weird to sack someone this close to the Sunderland game, when you've then got a 2 week break. It's almost like they don't want to risk him winning it (typical City) and keeping his job...
Or it's to give somebody a couple of weeks with the players.

If we dont hire to give them time then it's weird

To be fair the new guy being a head coach is just what modern clubs do.

In the higher levels there are fewer and fewer "managers"

Sorry mate i don’t follow race cars.

On the org chart she’s level with Robins. When is she held accountable? Or any other the others in this structure? Can any of the “elite setup” lot actually address this instead of saying bollocks like “you can’t say that mate she’s a girl” or “why aren’t you asking for Doug to be sacked too?”

He's a trumpet that has had an issue with her from the start.

I didn't say about sacking - you implied to give C-MR the managers job. I said why her and not Doug.
