Do you just keep on HOPING things will change ? Results and performances have not been good to say the least since the turn of the year.People quote Luton and Boro games (achieved against 10 men) they seem to forget the dross served up in most other games.
The buck stops with the manager
Performances and results were fantastic from new year until early April.

Cheers

I understand the players weren't in training and found out by the social media posts

FFS given the players the day off after last night's performance that's what's wrong with the club, so they've got one day to prepare for the Sunderland game and they will probably spend most of Friday traveling up to Sunderland,

You think employees don't tow the line?
There's millions of examples of it in all walks of life.
And like I said, I know what Robins said when he left for Huddersfield and what actually happened.

There's towing the line and there's making things up.

Most managers yes. But as Simon Jordan said Robins has more than enough in the bank to be given time to turn it around. We've started slow 3 times in the last 3 years yet still made a playoff final and an FA cup semi. Kings just sore his shit 5 year season ticket prem plan might be in Jeapordy. Well that's his fault for seeing pound signs when he joined

I don't know if you're trying to suggest this isn't true....

The players are in training but we're not there when robins got sacked. Staff were in preparing.

Absolutely knew this was on the cards head coach not a manager, robins ran this club top to bottom and did it amazingly well, DKs ego couldn’t take it, some puppet to come in.

Pathetic

Yep.. DK jumped the gun 🤦‍♂️ fool!!

If you going to make such a big decision like sacking your manager that has been with us loyally for a long time... At least have someone in line to take over instead of taking your bloody time to appoint a successor... That time we spend looking could have been enough for MR to turn it around.

I see us back to the old days of them bloody revolving doors.

There's towing the line and there's making things up.

There's also saying what the owner tells you to say.

The altetnative is to believe that for the first time in 7 years Robins decided not to work with an assistant, with loans or with experienced players.

Results went sour, King decides to sack him and end the Robins era, but he like the coaches he brought in so much that he stipulates the new man must work with them :ROFLMAO:

Was asked to speak about it with Hawksbee and Baker on Talksport if anyone caught it. Can’t tell you how close I was to mention the infamous polls on here and do some national radio call outs 😂

So king gave robins a script about the coaches? 🤣

Maybe he was just involved like he said he was?

It is such a shame. I always imagined Robins would lead us to the Premier League and complete the job. It feels surreal he has been sacked.

To be honest, the more people try to tell me it isn't the fault of the players, the more it pisses me off. Certainly Robins has made some bad decisions, and I have been very critical of the way he reacts in games, but for me they have massively let him down.

We have seen such gutless performances at times this season, and to think he got sacked after the one last night sickens me a bit. That was his last swan song and they turned up and played like that? It was probably the worst one of all. I have been very vocal about our lack of leadership being a problem this season, and it seems to hold true. No one is really setting an example, and our captain is just so uninspiring. Even when their goalkeeper was play acting yesterday, our players just stood there and took it. We just come across as weak and pathetic so often.

I thank Mark Robins for everything he has done for this club, and I wish he was given the respect to leave on his own terms because of it. Not making excuses for him like I said, but I don't blame him entirely either. Regardless of that he will surely go down as one of our best ever managers, and rightly so.

January 1st to April 6th

Won 13
Drew 3
Lost 4

Looking at league stats since start of 2024

Played 35

Won 13
Drew 6
Lost 16

45 points from a possible 105

8 of those wins came before April. That run of games (as well as at the end of 2023) and cup run has hidden reasonably poor form over the last year.

Script?! Calm down!
So you think King has removed the Robins era staff apart from the ones who haven't been involved in any success and says the new man must work with them?!

Well most of that form is the start of this season which most fans are happy to give him time , mentioning last season makes no sense as there are lots of other factors .

Small squad , fantastic cup run we fell away in the league at the end of the season

Not disputing that. I would have given him time. But I imagine Doug isn't just looking at the start of this season, but the longer picture.

And this is the reason he's been given the boot and rightly so, on results alone.

Multiple (or all) of the players letting him down does suggest something else is the root cause though.
