My main fear is a US style insurance system. I know you work either in or with the NHS and have a good knowledge of it's workings so it's good to hear you think that's not realistic.
A clear majority and an easier way to pass the laws/ agreements for brexit.
IMO that was a reason why she was did not get the landslide victory expected.
If you told her she'd have 43% of the vote she'd have always taken that - ukip shifting to labour was never predicted by anyone
Considering Corbyn kept the debate away from Brexit, it was certainly a surprise but a lot of them wold probably never vote Tory either.
Why would she have taken losing her majority?
43% has always translated into a huge majority in an election in the last 35 years.
She still lost her majority which was a massive shock.
But massively pleasing nonetheless...
God forbid! We've seen it all before, and it wasn't nice.In a way I wish Corbyn had won. It would be kind of funny to see all those socialists as the mortgage rates career out of control, mclusky starts organising strikes demanding inflation busting pay rises and the economy grinds to a halt.

I got my first mortgage in 1991, the Interest rate was 15%, I'm sure you know that the Tories had been in power for 12 years at this point. High interest rates are not exclusively socialist. In a way I wish Corbyn had won. I don't know about you but I was in a 2up 2down just by highfield rd.Remind me what we're we in when those rates went through the roof?

Ah yes the exchange rate mechanism, I can't remember if it was Lawson or Major who took us in. ?The ERM
Goerge Soros?Remind me what we're we in when those rates went through the roof?

The same thing that they had admitted they hadn't costed. When they found out it would cost 100 billion Corbyn changed his tuneWeren't Labour talking about wiping out some student debt? I expect that those same posters who were critical of it will also be outraged an claim the Tories are buying votes.
Then again, maybe not...
Chancellor Philip Hammond 'planning big, revolutionary budget'
The same thing that they had admitted they hadn't costed. When they found out it would cost 76 billion Corbyn changed his tune
Jeremy Corbyn accused of U-turning on student debt promise that he never made
I know that whatever news outlet is used someone will try and find fault with it if it doesn't look good for Labour or the EU.I expect that Hammond will receieve similar criticism on this thread then. Oh, and be careful about quoting the Independent as well.

I have pointed it out as you like to bring the subject up. But you never mention the about turn by Corbyn. He used it to buy the student vote. And it worked.
If Hammond announces like Corbyn that he will wipe out student debt and then does nothing like Corbyn I will bring it up. Especially if someone like yourself with Corbyn brings it up trying to make Hammond look good.
Who agreed to that?I thought that there was an agreed concenus that the Independent was for dribbling europhiles? Strange that as a neutral you didn't point this out to those posters in the past.
Who agreed to that?
Would you like to give a list of what we are allowed to quote?
Was OK when it wasn't good for May and the Tories earlier though
I don't care. I just let those looking for an excuse froth at the mouth when they say a certain outlet shouldn't be used. Then wait for them to either use that outlet or agree with someone who uses it.I have no problem with it. I am just trying to stop you for being put into our dribbling club.

More deflection to try and detract from the circus act that is the Tory government.
And a myth perpetuated by people who are apparently "neutral".
Not if you believe some on here.
At least Torch thinks you are 'neutral' and you agree with him
