The owners are not going to be ever loved by the majority, mostly down to the pretty cavalier attitude towards what owning a club meant when they 1st came in. And what it does to a community if you disregard its history and its importance to the area. In my mind they are tolerated and in some cases even ignored by the majority, who just want to watch a good side show desire and passion to wear the shirt. While they stay quiet and allow MR to do his job most fans just want to support the players and the process set by MR.
What i do see and don't like is the fans could not have done more, they have been more faithful than any other set of supporter in the land. And if it wasn't for them i dread to think where we would be. MR has built this with his hands tied, his acceptance of restrictions i respect but the
desire to make it work while under this, is only matched by the fans desire to not let us die.
I don't expect the owners to be reckless or be in front of the fans explaining everything. But i except them to show us they have the ability and desire to support at any given time to help MR progress. Even a calculated gamble to take us to the next level if we are a league position to do so would be nice.
I just see and hear its up to the fans to push us on, the more ST sold the more MR has to spend was always spouted. Well that i haven't heard said this year. That talk has gone away, fans have broke records in ST, Jerseys and this year will be i think the highest av attendance at home since we got into the stadium. So for fans to ask we done our part, we have done what you asked, what now is a fair question to ask..
I think for some it's not the fact we're selling a player. I think the concern is the noises being made are MR won't see much or any of the fee. Yes, even top clubs like Liverpool sell players, but they reinvest. The reaction to a sale that hasn’t even happened is baffling. Its like we have never sold our best players ever before. Even the likes of Liverpool etc have had to sell their best players
Fact is we have no idea how much or little they will invest until a sale actually happensI think for some it's not the fact we're selling a player. Its not the same as we were selling up tbe leagues and could buy more than adequate replacements for the league we are in
McNulty was sold and we could easily by a competitive replacement in godden
Selling o hare and replacing with with a free transfer in the championship is a much harder proposition
I assume you didn't see the words 'Harder to replace then a McNulty/Walsh -yes' ?
I didn't say it was the same you spanner and agree that it would be harder.
We were in the championship when we replaced Walsh with Hamer but I do agree its much harder now we are established in the championship overallIts 100 times harder though isn’t it as this is a strategy that doesn’t work in the championship over a sustained period

I’m in the wait and see camp. We might sign someone not as effective, we might find a gem that’s even better. We just don’t knowAs hard as it is, it's not impossible. Does money always win? Most times, but not always.
My posts aren't a defence of the 'boardroom'.
They're a show in faith in the management team who normally have things covered. Will they get it right...maybe, maybe not.
I'm happy to sit on the side of 'maybe based on the fact of what they've done before (in easier circumstances) as they've demonstrated they know what they're doing, by and large.
More than Kenny Jackett anyway.

A ghettoblaster and a blue wig right?People are acting like the scouting/analyst team that found O’Hare have absolutely no idea what he bought to the team and won’t be looking for similar attributes in his replacement. Chill out lads.

We scout all across Europe, there are plenty of teams who play pressing football. I don't have an FBRef account but I'm sure someone who does could find an AM with similar numbers to COH just from there.Agreed - they do a great job. Tough ask though, O'Hare is a very unique player.
Why's the prick commenting on other people's players. On Callum O'Hare: "I'm all for transparency. I would rather not lie but these things are hard until they are done, they can still go wrong. We think he is a great player, and we think he would be great for us but is a deal done, no."

No , not proper managers anyway. Good managers always answer that question with:” I don’t comment on other teams players “.Strange, do managers often comment on other teams players like that?
