3 of the last 5 seasons were at our lowest for almost 60 years - the fact you constitute that success is baffling
I didn’t say it was a success please just comment on the point being made which was about selling players poorly and not reinvesting

Actually I would say the bed wetting has been triggered by inside info from ITKs, so it's not really bed wetting, it's based on info from good sources.
Personally I would have assumed if he was sold it would be for a good fee and we'd re-invest, which I'd be fine with. That's not what we're hearing though.

Yep. I think O’hare is brilliant, and has been an integral part of our recent success. Still, if we sold him and bought the two lads from Derby or equivalent prospects I’d be quite happy.
The worry/disappointment is the talk of lack of reinvestment. It feels like we’d have been here before.

Who are these in the knows? The only with inside knowledge haven’t said anything.
Robins has said about freeing up wages and talked about Ohare

The £2.5m and £6m are utter bollox with a narrative of sisu are destroying our club and woe is me supporting this club.

If the quote from overson that someone made up had said £10m plus add ons this would be a different discussion
Who have we let go cheaply in the last 5 years?
Believer, I just said above.
The bloke knows someone high up in the club, his info is usually spot on.
You're going to great lengths to defend the owners who have seen us homeless twice though. You surprised people assume the worst?

Yup, the upsetting part is the suggestion that MR will not be given any of an incoming fee to spend. True or not, that's what has worried everyone because if its true the 'model' is bollocks.

It would mean there is no model…other than quick profits.
If true, it would also be massively short sighted of our owners as ohare’s sale would prove that some investment pays off.
Let’s hope the ITK isn’t right this time…They’re always bloody right!!!

Well I'm hoping he's wrong on this one but would you seriously be surprised if SISU reverted to type?

One late night comment from Saddlebrains and suddenly there are 6 pages of meltdowns! Well played Saddle

I think it was also MR's comments in the Oxford match review re COH and Burnley 'not going away'

Again not to defend but given that we’ve spent money we’ve not got as a club for the last few years where do we get the money from? Grendels millions?

So are people being called bedwetters because they expect no or very insufficient reinvestment? Surely it’s a very justified thought process?
As I’ve said many times, there’s a real lower league mindset ingrained into the fanbase.
With our current owners this is as good as it gets. Some may be happy with that but I want to get back into the top flight one day.

As I've said before, we would then know that CCFC is nothing more than a high interest borrower to SISU and we should all acknowledge that. (I hope it is not true)

Brentford model, expectation vs reality.

Bed wetting is responding to information provided by people who have shown to have consistently good inside knowledge of the workings of the club now.

I’ll change my opinion if things turn out differently but it’s head in the sand to just assume everything is fine.

Take your petty comments out on your contacts with the club not the fans who put their money and time into this only to be taken for mugs. Frustration is a natural response and having a go at people for t is pretty pathetic.
Mate what are you actually on about. No one has even been sold, so no money to moan about not being reinvested.

It’s ridiculous at this stage

Yep believer didn’t say an amount did he and just said none would be invested in fees. Is that right?

Correct. I mean, if the amount is higher than what is doing the rounds, that actually makes it worse.

Having a bad day Grendel. Loads of negativity and despondency coming from your key board today.
Pour yourself a beer, sit in the sun and think positively.

For me, I'd be sad to lose OHare this season, as I think he'll storm the league this season.
We saw his decision making improve in the latter stages of last season and I reckon he'll build on from that next season.
With OHare, Hamer and Vic in the starting line up next season, we are top 6.
If he is to go for any amount, hopefully MR will make great use of the assets he has available, and build appropriately.

I don’t scour the forum but I haven’t seen a bid figure from Believer. I think I saw Better Days mention 5m was rejected.

What I find a bit weird is that there’s a fucking tidal wave of depression because our owners are a hedge fund… and they’re operating like a hedge fund. Where have you been the last 15 years? Do I want a fan with a few billion burning his back pocket, fuckyeah.. but we don’t, we have a hedge fund and until that changes I temper my expectations.

All I can say is thank fuck we have MR, Viveash and the majority of players they’ve assembled for blowing the lid off those expectations in the last few years. SISU are our owners. It is what it is. Fuck them. All we can do is support and trust those who are excelling for our club.

I think it’s more the late of reinvestment.

Why isn't Palmer reinvestment - does he not count or is it because we've already got him?
We've got 2 defenders for JCS, somebody to come for Maatsen. We've lost Jones and Shippers, which might give him a little bit to play with but we've 'gained' Tyler back so that's some of his salary too.

Let’s be honest Robins would never agree to a “we are going to sell a player and no matter what we get for him we are keeping it” situation would he.

Realistically there’s probably a number that’s been agreed that’s needed to go back into running costs of the club. Or a % up to a number or whatever.

But don’t let any pragmatism get in the way of a good bedwet and let’s all get absolutely livid about the sale of a player (that’s not yet happened) and the pocketing of the money (that we’ve not yet received). Slow summer for everyone I guess

A lot of our fans seem to think competent owners just pay money into clubs willy nilly as a "gamble" to the promise land. We've seen what happens to teams who do that.
