Most of what I've learned is through the media or through this website - so most of it is probably utter bollocks. BUT, on balance, I think I'd rather the deal was not accepted by SISU.

Why? Because I do not trust them one bit. If the deal was agreed and SISU had a lower rent and access to more match day revenues, who is to say they will actually use that for the benefit of the football team? They haven't before. Let's not forget that almost every year they have asset stripped the club. So why does anyone think they will act any differently now? Accepting this deal offers no guarantees of support for the football team and that is ultimately what we all want. What it does do, however, is put more money into SISU's pocket.

And even more importantly, in my opinion, is that accepting the deal means that all the cobwebs will be swept under the carpet. It pisses me off that there are people and businesses in this world that screw people over and get away with it because it is too difficult or too expensive to challenge them.

I can't pretend to know exactly what will happen if the deal was rejected or if it was accepted. But I'm at the point now where I'd sacrifice a few (more) seasons of obscurity if it meant that the truth finally comes out and that those arseholes that have been playing games with our club get exposed for the crooks they really are.

To be honest, I think the deal will be agreed - but, on balance, I'd prefer if it wasn't.

I think the point is that their outgoings will reduce and (by playing at the Ricoh rather than Northampton) their income will increase. I think they will use that to the benefit of SISU rather than the team. I'd love to be proved wrong.

The rights and wrongs should be put on the back burner for now and we should be standing shoulder to shoulder to make whoever has the aces see sense and make sure Coventry City plays in the City of Coventry. The second that first ball is kicked in Northampton is the second lots of fans will turn their back on CCFC forever and everyone should try their damnedest to make sure that don't happen. All through this debacle I have taken a view that whilst the current owners are in place then I wouldn't give the club any money or support and even if we are playing at the Ricoh that applies. Whatever transpires from now on I am out until SISU have gone and it may to too late by then. I am of the opinion too much water has gone under the bridge and too many underhand and shady practices have taken place in our name that I cant condone nor forgive and forget.

I do have some sympathy with the OP's view and even if we are playing at the Ricoh in the coming seasons, then I doubt that there will be too much to cheer about.


Any season ticket money is likely to be gone very quickly - paying off the administrator, legal fees, ACL and, perhaps, having to compensate Northampton. Is there going to be much left to invest in the squad?


Are any of the free agents, which is all that is likely to be available given the timeframe and budget, going to be any better than the bomb squad? Will they be even good enough to keep us in this division let alone push for promotion?


In subsequent seasons, are SISU going to be content to keep the club on life support until such time as ACL buckle or a daft, cash rich buyer appears from the Middle or Far East?


How will SISU ever be driven out? They obviously couldn't give a damn about fans or fans protesting and if they were content to survive on gates of (their) estimated 3,000-5,000 at Sixfields, they will presumably not be upset if numbers at the Ricoh fall that low.


In short, I can see very little future in any outcome that involves SISU's continued ownership of the club whether we are playing at the Ricoh, Sixfields or a fairy tale stadium.
