SBITC might still be able to get away with it with a name change.
Ken Taylor was leader of the council at the time and mocked Shapiro for 'only' offering £26million, wanting a longer lease on the Ricoh Arena and to develop some spare land to the north of the site.I think the council bloke even mocked one of them at the time didn't he?

I would doubt it. They are tied to the EFL Trust which is for EFL teams. They would lose that as well as the connection to the football club. Their mission statement is 'Use the reach and appeal of Coventry City Football Club to make a difference to the lives of people across Coventry and Warwick'.SBITC might still be able to get away with it with a name change.

Would like to think they could continue in some form but I don't think it would be easy.
I do. thanks.
Same to you, your clearly a very genuine cov fan despite being stupidly argumentative, never wrong and always has to have the last word
No you are so wronge . Help the trust to change things for the better? The Trust are no good, they don't represent 95% of the fanbase, they represent themselves.
Perfect example of why being pro CCFC will make people agree and unite to near enough give reacharounds.
Get discussing CCFC with somebody and it's completely different to if you had said "i wont go coz SISU but went wembley".
Wasps... “friends”??? Shouldn’t that be aquaintances? My wasps friends thinks it’s unfair to be mean to wasps when they do so much for our city. Am I missing something wtf do they do?

I think that’s a good point that we could tap into to get some support. If it’s not brinkmanship I really would be up for attending wasps game in my city top and singing songs etc but knowing our fan base they’d fight and run on the pitchFree flags!
Being serious I find the response from Wasps supporters very disappointing. For a club that we are told was very close to going out of existence themselves they seem very happy to let their club send us into oblivion.

No they shouldn't, but they have the council tax payers to think of.Surely the coventry city council can't leave a hedge fund kick our football club out of our home city into non existence or can they?

Think the council would be serving the tax payer better by creating conditions that assist the club in getting back in to the Premier League:No they shouldn't, but they have the council tax payers to think of.
The council are having to find ways of saving money because of government cut backs.
Isn't that the reason why the council sold the Ricoh in the first place.
No, the shooter in this case would be wasps. They would be putting a bullet between the eyes of the hostage and people would celebrate it thinking that the parent was dead. Not many would argue if they put the bullet between the hostage takers eyes.
You say you did company law, I've got 8 GCSEs and seem to be a bit more informed in what's going on.
Only grade D”s and E”s though.....
I'd say a good starting point would be ensuring we still have a football club. Phone call to Wasps telling them to stick to what was promised when they were sold the Ricoh would be a good start. So how much would it cost the tax payer, to create the conditions to assist the club to get back onto the premier league ?
In a perfect world yes , but when money is tight you have to prioritise !
I'd go with that take as long as no-one takes their eyes off who the real culprits are and always have been !The thing about all this that seems to be escaping some people's notice is that sisu don't give a fuck about CCFC, about the city of Coventry or it's people. They don't care one iota what people think about them
Wasps do, or at least have to appear to. Their plan can't work without the goodwill of the people of Coventry.
That is why it needs to be made blatantly clear to them that any action they take which is detrimental to the football club will not go down well in the city.
That may be unfair, it may be letting sisu off the hook. I couldn't care to be honest as I hate the pair of them. All I want is for the football club to a) survive and b) have a future.
I'm not suggesting they go out and buy us Messi. I'm suggesting they make a few phone calls and get Wasps to uphold their promises made when buying the Ricoh. In a perfect world yes , but when money is tight you have to prioritise !
In which case we should all wear wasps shirts(jerseys?)...bring them down from within.I think that’s a good point that we could tap into to get some support. If it’s not brinkmanship I really would be up for attending wasps game in my city top and singing songs etc but knowing our fan base they’d fight and run on the pitch
Wasps don't react well to any hint of negative PR. If the council were to come out and say Wasps are breaking the assurances given during the sale process and they will be speaking them to ensure those assurances are met it would have a big impact.Regardless it was a promise made and the council should use any weight they have to lean on Wasps if it’s not legally binding. Don’t know what they can do as I don’t know the terms of the lease but they should do everything in their power to keep their promise.

It costs the council nothing to put pressure on Wasps to ensure the football clubs continued existence. A football club that generates a lot of money for the local economy. As you say money is tight so surely they would be keen to ensure the money the club generates each year continues for many years to come.
My wasps friends thinks it’s unfair to be mean to wasps when they do so much for our city. Am I missing something wtf do they do?

I think it would be pointless and a waste of money. How much would it cost for a full page ad in the telegraph urging parties to talk? Trust? Start the crowdfunder and I'll chip in
From what I have seen, most of the people being like that have only been fans for a couple of years. Strangely.
Wel done liquid gold! At last rather than indulging in the finger pointing an idea of something that tries to seek a solution. How much would it cost for a full page ad in the telegraph urging parties to talk? Trust? Start the crowdfunder and I'll chip in
That's why I would like Sisu to call their bluff. They are in reality never ever going to win this legal battle, so drop the court cases, call Wasps' bluff and see what they say then.Wasps have no interest in the legal action you utter retard
It’s a lie
