Cool, can you ask somebody from that photo when my Walsall ticket will arrive.
Mine came today, probably waiting for you at home.Cool, can you ask somebody from that photo when my Walsall ticket will arrive.
Probably best asking someone at Ticketmaster as they sell the tickets. Don't think that means the club are now Ticketmaster FC.Cool, can you ask somebody from that photo when my Walsall ticket will arrive.
Mine is still not here so I'm blaming all of you, you incompetent bastards.Mine came today, probably waiting for you at home.
If that's your response I find it hard to believe you are actually a Coventry City fan. The point being made was an incredibly simple one yet you have somehow failed to grasp it.So by this if we didn't get a deal, lost our league status and we ended up playing at the Butts or whatever it really wouldn't matter - the club would still exist because the fans would still exist. Even if we had to rebuild this club from scatch we would still care, all those emotions would still stir in us. Kids would still feel that stir of excitement and passion on their first trip. Which makes this letter nothing more than scaremongering about the stuff in the first paragraph of that quote which it says aren't the club.

Yes, it is a simple point. It's mob/gang mentality and a sporting equivalent of religious zealotry. From one point it creates a sense of belonging and community, but look slightly deeper and It's the kind of thinking that leads to wars and hatred of others because they're slightly different from you. Think bigger.
I couldn't give a fuck what you think of me as a fan. I'd follow this club if it was Midland Counties playing on park pitches.
No, a fucking lot of fans wouldn't support a new team. Fans disappear with the club.So by this if we didn't get a deal, lost our league status and we ended up playing at the Butts or whatever it really wouldn't matter - the club would still exist because the fans would still exist. Would it be this club? Would it have won the FA cup in 1987? What difference is there between that and loads of city fans going to watch Cov Utd?
Legally it's difficult to say. Maybe not. Spiritually, unequivocally yes it would be. Would it matter if from a legal sense we had or hadn't won the cup in '87? When you go to a game and we score a goal do you celebrate because we won a trophy in the past, or due to the surge of emotion at that specific time and moment? I've never watched us score and thought "I would celebrate, but I remember us losing a Cup QF to Shef Utd we should've won years ago and frankly it takes the enjoyment out of it for me."

Well... given the level of division (that’s entirely SISUs fault) we as a club are fucked.
Thanks for the memories CCFC... was good whilst it lasted
In which case according to SBR they aren't fans anyway. And if they did fuck off because we lost our league status why would you miss them? Fair weather wankers.
I would say yes. Their reasoning for their actions I believe has merit. Unfortunately, their disdain for the fans is the reason for the division.Whilst I don't doubt they are to blame, is it entirely their fault for division? It's not in other people's interests for everybody to get behind the club. -
Can't believe SISU are trying to pull off this stunt. Appealing to hearts and minds to disconnect them from the club so they can carry on their pointless legal campaign. They are the club and they are making all the decisions ultimately and everyone knows it. Fisher et al are just playing brinkmanship with CCFC because evidently they couldn't give a shit about the fate of the club in reality, just the future of their investment.

I blame them for the way they’ve gone about things. The ruthlessness and arrogance they’ve shown is the key reason for division.
They could have attacked the situation differently when they went on the rent strike.
SISU aren't the club though are they?
What stunt exactly? The club saying that they are in a rock hard situation and have no choice? That's the reality of it.
No I go to support CCFC because that's who I have supported since I was born and went to games growing up. If 1000 city fans went to watch Villa every week it doesn't mean I should, same with Cov Sphinx and Cov United.
You can't transfer things like that to different clubs, I couldn't go and watch another match and jump about like a twat if they score.
This is where the confusion is from my initial question about when 'the club' distanced themselves from SISU. Tim Fisher's recent statements in the media have distanced himself from SISU and says he acts on behalf of CCFC yet back in 2014 he was very supportive of the legal action against the council.
The Trust need to put out a statement supporting the club. And round we go again.....
It's Groundhog Day every day on here.
How about instead of expending so much energy on blame we look at potential solutions, affirmative actions and engagement?
It's our club and we need to unite to ensure it stays as our club.
But in that case you're looking at the legal sense of what is or isn't Coventry City, not the spiritual which going by what you've posted is what you care about.
Aren't AFC Wimbledon now recognised as 1988 FA Cup winners?
Yeah but that was due to a dispute as to who could be regarded “Wimbledon” as they technically never folded - if Coventry City go bust and close the history dies with it.But in that case you're looking at the legal sense of what is or isn't Coventry City, not the spiritual which going by what you've posted is what you care about.

That still doesn't say they are the same thing though does it?
What I don't get is why people would be so eager to make out that SISU is the same thing as CCFC?
This is where it's about understanding the control bit.
I wouldn't be a car if I drove it into somebody on the pavement. It would be me controlling the car.
How does SISU having significant control over the club make them the club? It's like somebody going round with a puppet touching people up and saying "it was the puppet, not me".
Who was awarded the 'golden share'?
