Sales look pretty horrendous on the website. Seems odd when we had almost 20k there for the Sheff Wed game last season, in similar circumstances.

It's the league cup 2nd round. Still willing to bet it's higher than most of the all championship ties tonight.

Sort of game where you might expect a big walk up, but with no print at home or potg, queues will be mad, people won't fancy that.

I'd be more worried about sales for Saturday. Be surprised if there are more than 4000 tickets sold for that (including away fans). Should never have been cat a game.

I hope we play the strongest squad that we possibly can. I really want to make a cup run this season. Yes, I understand at the end of the day, battling for promotion is the ultimate goal, but still.

Also, due to some pretty severe personal things in my life these past few months(My girlfriend passed away, I was in deep dark depression, lost my dream job, etc) I need any kind of happiness and hopefully the Sky Blues can help provide that.

Come on boys!

I always find it amazing how much joy and togetherness the football can bring (yes, even when most match threads are meltdown central most of the time). 'You make me happy, when skies are grey' - those words definitely have some truth in the meaning.

You are obviously having a shitter of a time, but you are gonna get there mate. Life is unfortunately full of ups and downs, and you've had a tsunami of downs hit you all at once. I believe these things always balance themselves out eventually, so please just keep going! A good win tonight definitely on order request. PUSB!

It’ll be my daughters first game tomorrow - mega proud moment, even if I highly doubt she’ll last the 90.

She’s 4 - any recommendations for pre game stuff? We’re not in the family stand (if that’s even open tomorrow) but my usual ST seat and we’ve sorted her one by me.

Does Sky Blue Sam still do a lap of the pitch pre game for photos etc? Is that even a thing?! Advice welcome!
Make sure she has a scarf - take lots of photos. Get one by Jimmy statue. Another one as she goes up the stairs and sees the pitch for first time.
Club used to do a tannoy shout out - ask for one of these. A few photos in the stands - get someone nearby to have you in a few photos.

Perhaps get a hot dog or similar (seemed to be a good memory for my kids...). Programme as well as momento.

Hopefully sky blues win and you have some great photos to look at!

Sorry, don't know about sky blue Sam, but would have thought he would be around (go to front for photos).

Norwich bringing a few. Originally took 2K which sold out and so took the additional 1K which has now sold out of seating with a few hundred safe standing left. I expect them to probably bring the full 3K this season.

Home end tickets are way down on the Oxford game at the moment.

Sales nearly identical to the hours before the Everton game when 18,000 turned up.

Surprised to hear that, Norwich fan I was speaking to the other day said they'd only sold 900. Happy for him to be wrong though.

Whoever decided Cat A for a 12:30pm game on Sky against a relatively boring side like Norwich?

Stupid fecking kick offs again, people just don’t like them as a rule.

Sorry to hear about the really rough time you've been having. Look after yourself and hopefully we can all celebrate a win tonight.

I do think we'll make a lot of changes though.

My info also came from a Norwich fan that i work with so may/not be correct. Although looking at their website appears to be accurate.

Does anyone know what kind of ID is required for collecting tickets? I've purchased them for tonight on my account but the person I am going with is able to go and collect tickets this afternoon but will they be able to if they're in my name?

Which would make it north of 26k at the moment - plus late purchases - hardly poor.

Fair enough. If anyone had said a few years ago we'd be calling a gate of 26-27K 'poor' we'd have probably laughed at them. The point being, from a base of 21.5K, for cat A fixtures, given they are supposedly where demand is highest, they'd probably expect more. It might fill up as we get closer. This was the one fixture I pulled a face at when I saw it was cat A, especially as the TV dates has already been announced. Objectively it will still be a decent gate though.

Yes they replied to somebody on twitter to confirm this earlier. One for your next forum there
Add the lack of ticketfast too.

Really not helpful forcing people to collect tickets - especially those not local

The bigger issue here is sky though. The new tv deal is great for armchair supporters/fans that can’t make games but sky really should be more mindful of what games are moved and the time they move games to. These midday kick offs for long distance aways are going to kill away attendances

It will also be interesting to see if they start impacting ST sales and home attendances next season. I suppose if your clubs doing well it might not, those that are struggling or bouncing around without any ambition will probably see a drop off

Debut for Bassette hopefully so might add a few to the gate. £15 kids still off, would like to think a decent number yet apparently not. Nobody can complain at away allocations if they can't be bothered to get up for these. In fact if all you done was the cup Bristol away and Oxford home you'd have 50 extra points.
