Job done really, dominated possession and chances. We have a really strong squad overall, the best in decades.
Sheaf just a class above, even in that short cameo. So much talent though who all can play their part in a memorable season.
4 games unbeaten, bring on Norwich 💪

Deserved win.

I thought we looked ok all in all. Both BTA and EMC need to be more aware of what's around them, both play with their head down at times especially the former. Bassette looked likely and rapid, the understanding and timing of passes/runs isn't there yet but very encouraging debut.

According to people on here Torp’s career was over a week ago so he’ll probably be shortlisted for the ballon d’or tonight. People are mental. You can’t trust people.
Or maybe he's had a kick up the arse, and looked better against Oxfords reserves.

Credit to him for being better, but he'd set the bar very low.

Would you say the same about Dovin?

Dovin has played 3 competitive matches at this level. No clean sheet. Arguably still getting used to the league and his team mates. It could be argued that Dovin could be bled into the team later on, as we did with Hedman

Binks has been with the squad for 13 months, played in the league last year and kept a total of ONE clean sheet in the league, and one in the cup (against Maidstone United). Clean sheet percentage of 11%. Kitching has a clean sheet percentage of around 30% and Thomas around 25%.

That’s not an opinion, that’s just counting!

I'm with you on Binks, we just look a lot more compact with Kitching. He is looking sharp and should be starting as first choice imo.

Or maybe the bedwetters on here massively overreacted last time out and are so fucking ready to jump on our own players it makes you wonder sometimes if they are Leicester fans here on the wind up? Could be either, I guess.
Maybe we'll see a better performance from him on Saturday.

It's easier to look better when you are the fresh legs coming on after an hour, against very average opponents, The real test will be a league game in a full CBS arena against Norwich.

Hopefully Sheaf will start and anchor the midfield and allow Torp and Rudoni to show what they are capable of.

Even if the passing is erratic at times he tries to play through the lines, the ball was going from him into Palmer and Bassette feet at times. This is what we need, not sideways from Lati or the same ball to MVE.
I'm no huge Lati fan myself but currently he is playing better at CB than Thomas . If we can get Thomas back to last season's form then yes he starts all day long
Just don't like needless criticism

Kitching is another that had a wobble last year so people have written off. Good player that just needs to be more disciplined at times.
Kitching impressive again tonight. Starting to think we should look at thle box formation again.

Thomas Kitching & Binks (CBs)
MVE & Dasilva (WBs)
Sheaf Torp / New signing
Sakamoto. Rudoni
Wright

Apart from last 5 minutes, there was almost zero jeopardy tonight. Very comfortable that. Need to move the ball quicker at times and 1st half was a bit flat with almost a pre season feel. Dominated 2nd half though and should have bagged a couple more. Job done.

First half Oxford were horrible to watch , every player back within touching distance of the penalty area . Second half when the game opened up we were much better
