Well we got him on a free unless I’m mistaken? So we didn’t buy his experience? Unless you get technical and bring contract into it? But get what you’re saying 👍🏻. All on the same team hey? 😉

Just a little SBT humour.

Well we've gone from a squad that's lacking in experience to one that's got bags of experience in less than a month. Our average age has gone through the roof!

I'm not sure that he's what we need, but now that he's here I wish him well, at least we have cover on both wings as well as up front now.

When everyone's fit we are going to have some great options on the bench.

I've noticed the average age going up every month.

Info from Cov Tel article
Paterson has travelled with the squad for Saturday’s Sheffield Wednesday, having been registered with the EFL while awaiting international clearance from the States – something that can be granted up to an hour before kick-off.

No cov fan in cov says “support Coventry”

you’d say “city”.

I reckon all the pics and voices of him as a kid are AI

Unfortunately not, plenty of the younger lads say Cov, Cov city and Coventry, whether you like it or not. Such is the prominence of glory hunters, if you say you support City to most lads under the age of 35, they assume you mean Manchester City.

I mean he literally told Bristol city he supported man United so glory hunters were always around.

Is there video of that? Bit different IMO when you’re in the game (where players claim multiple allegiances) and been in the Man Utd Academy. We had the chance to sign him when he left Man Utd too but were too focused on future greats like Adam Walker.

You said yourself that we were missing experience. That's exactly what we needed.

From what I have seen of Lampard so far he tries his best to put a side together not playing players out of position. Paterson will be a bonus for him as he can play both wings and also in the middle. He also scores goals so will be perfect for getting in the area when we're attacking. There's still nearly 1/3 of the season to go. It's a long, hard season. Most probably get more injuries and players will need a rest.

Depends who you’re talking to. If I’m talking to someone from around here who thinks they support Chelsea or whoever, I’ll say Cov. Because if I say ‘City’, they’ll assume Man City, therefore a complete waste of conversation. Anywhere around the midlands I’ll say Cov while talking about location or team as most will know.

Mostly it’s Cov regardless because…fuck egg toss.

Outside of the Midlands “Cov” would likely be met with confusion.

If you’ve spent the last few years living in South Wales then you’ll likely be in the habit of saying Coventry

To people who aren't that knowledgeable with football, most generic Prem team fans, you just say you support Coventry. Cov for people who actually know ball (I use this more than anything.) City to people within the City, I've never lived in Cov though. My old man RIP, used to say going up the City.
Most importantly of all though... who cares?

Least he's not had that Brummie saying "welcome to Coventry" to him

Sent from my Pixel 7 using Tapatalk
“How does it feel to have signed for Coventry?”
“How excited are you to get started?”
“You must be keen to play that first game now?”
“What’s your message to the fans now you’ve signed for Coventry?”
