“How does it feel to have signed for Coventry?”
“How excited are you to get started?”
“You must be keen to play that first game now?”
“What’s your message to the fans now you’ve signed for Coventry?”
Fucking hell, it’s you isn’t it, you’re him!!!

You said yourself that we were missing experience. That's exactly what we needed.

From what I have seen of Lampard so far he tries his best to put a side together not playing players out of position. Paterson will be a bonus for him as he can play both wings and also in the middle. He also scores goals so will be perfect for getting in the area when we're attacking. There's still nearly 1/3 of the season to go. It's a long, hard season. Most probably get more injuries and players will need a rest.
We did need experience, but 33 years of age wasn't what I had in mind!!!!

However, a short term contract is no risk, and hopefully he can contribute.

Nope. Phillip Cocu was the manager of Derby then.

Ok I must have misunderstood what Lampard said in his interview with Clive Eakin yesterday.

Let’s be honest he’ll be like most Cov people he “follows” City but supports a big six team. Meaning he’ll turn up for Wembley and not know any players (well he will now cos he is one)

To be honest, I wouldn't want a player to sign for us and say they support another championship club. Give he had shirts and a ST he obviously supported Cov but also followed man united. Is he going to say to Bristol that he supports a follow championship club? I can't see it myself.

You can't support 2 teams.
Wholeheartedly agree. All too common nowadays 🙁

He genuinely is a Cov fan. Supported Liverpool as well as he idolised Michael Owen. Does say he'd choose Cov over Liverpool.

Good spot. Also includes the photo of him as a kid in the black jumper and full kit that the club used in the reveal video.

He was jumping all over Simms at the end of the game celebrating, so looks like he’s happy to be here in the “deck”, or maybe just he gets a win bonus on top of his contact pay? I don’t know!

I mean you can to be fair. I support Cov and Rangers - Rangers to a much, much, much lesser extent.

Then there's my hometown club back in N.Ireland.

I guess it boils down to what do you class as 'support'.
Yeah, it does happen, especially with smaller clubs. Often people will have their own team plus a Premier League team.

I don't see much wrong with it, myself.

Am I the only one who genuinely couldn't give a fuck who Pato supported as a kid?

I do know he's had more than 1 opportunity to join us in the past and didn't want to come here.

But I'll withhold judgement until I've seen him play, hopefully his legs havn't quite gone yet, as there's always room for a player who can keep hold of possession and pass to his own team mates.
