SISU turned down a good deal they are the only ones to blame for the mess we are in.

The club turned down A DEAL.. weather it was a GOOD DEAL, or the RIGHT DEAL , none of us really know... we can all throw our opinions around , like they are fact , and blame one side or the other for this mess but none of us really know

My suspicion is that ACL simply werent in a position to offer the deal that the club needed due to their historical deal with compass

Sounds familiar
No investor in the world would want to buy CCFC.....

Grenduffy still refuses to accept he was wrong about this.
The fool says we don't know what the bids contained, so there is no proof that there really were any other bids.
The guy is a fool and is incapable of seeing reality when it slaps him in the face.

HEY GRENDEL: DID ANYONE ELSE BID FOR CCFC? WERE THERE OTHER BIDDERS? Honest answer please!

He has a point however that one of the bidders had doubt cast on his ability to purchase club and ground, along with being backed in his consortium by one (two) of the dismal failures of past regimes, who also contributed to where we are now.

Meanwhile the other two bids may as well have been me, and a Deleted member 5849 affiliated company, for all we know about them. They might have been the real deal, might have been Spencer Trethewy.

If my memory serves me well (which it may not - I am not the youngest around here!), Mr Tim Fisher said that it was a good deal, and then Joy told him it was not acceptable.
Please let me know if this is correct or not.

TF was under instruction to not accept any deal which would still require SISU's investment next season.

That is a truly pathetic response North and you should be ashamed of yourself for posting such utter nonsense.

So just what bit of what I wrote is wrong then?

I refuse to get involved in such a stupid discussion. You know damn well what utter tripe you are posting, and if that is genuinely your stance rather than you just being a WUM, then you just went down immensely in my estimation of your intelligence.

So basically, nothing of what I wrote is wrong, then.

I can't see what is wrong with it?

If we don't know about 2 of the bidders then they could have been anybody surely?

im not aware of either of those being the case.... i have, however, heard / seen numerous times that Tim Fisher say that the deal offered by ACL was very generous in terms of the rent reduction & that the club were grateful for that offer.. however it would not have given them the match day food & beverage income which they felt they needed to raise their turnover, to meet FFP rules.. so overall the deal still wasnt going to work for them

It's where this forum gets laughable with its leaps of logic.

By pointing that out (and also suggesting they might have been the real deal, but we don't know) somehow this makes me pro SISU.

Can someone summarise the point of this thread I have just spent twenty minutes of my life (Which I will never recoup) trying to understand what was said and I still don't :(

PWKH went to Trust AGM, go to CJ's Twitter to find out more.

Summerisle and Nonleagueherewecome have a lovers' tiff, Swiss is disappointed with me and won't be going on a third date.

My last comment on this: Nick, are you actually trying to say that PH4 was not a genuine bid?
This is nonsense and you know it.

When jo dinsah wanted to buy the club would you have termed him a bidder?

The bit about not accepting anything which would still give the club a loss was mentioned in the answers given to the Trust a while back.

I repeat, what bit of what I put is wrong?

Did ACL's preferred choice of admi9nistrator cast doubt on his ability to buy both club and ground, or not?

Is he backed by two of the failures of the past (one, in Elliott, being particularly impressive in backing hopeless cases and enthusing about them as they destroy the fabric of our club).

Guilfoyle almost laughed out loud when he was asked if Haskell was a serious contender and given he dealt with him at Leeds he should have some insight.

I don't know do I, I haven't seen the paperwork so I can't comment on what was bid or what was proposed.

To be fair, Joe Elliott did help get SISU in didn't he? I have never met him, so I am not saying anything bad against him. Just trying to see both sides ;)

"This is a very exciting day in the long, proud history of Coventry City Football Club and I am positive that will be reflected in the attendance for Saturday's game against Southampton," said Elliott.

"I am sure that Ray Ranson and Sisu Capital will help drive Coventry City forward into a brand new era for the club.

"Guilfoyle almost laughed out loud" - were you there or was it televised?

Given that Guilfoyle also made some unflattering comments about Appleton's performance, we can assume that you agree with those.

It was a radio interview, just prior to the last game of the season.
