RCC 7 - Assured today. One ball where both he and a defender went for this same ball, otherwise thought he had a good game.

Ricketts 6 - pretty steady today.

Cargill 7 - very solid, calm and assured.

Stephens 7 - See above

Stokes 7 - back to his best.

Vincelot 7 - missed him badly

Fleck 7 - ran the show, though was allowed to by Bury failing to close him down or pur pressure on him.

Murphy 6.5 - much better performance from him today and though many things he tried didn't quite come off, he still proved a handful for the Bury defence

Maddison 7 - his best game for quite a while. Always tricky, always inventive and creative.

Cole 8 - MOTM. Didn't think he put a foot wrong all game. Great set piece delivery too.

Armstrong 7 - quietish game from him, but he's paid to score goals and he bagged two today, so what's there to complain about?

I just think it didn't quite come off for him today, but no-one can question his effort.

Vincelot was great today. Every long ball to Leon Clarke was won by Vincelot who got in front of Clarke every time allowing the centre half to drop off. Worth and 8 or 9 for me today. He was as good a Cole in his own way.

Murphy needs to develop himself mentally, I feel if he could get that right he has the ability to rip up this league.

Look at the contrast between Murphy and Armstrong today

Murphy started well but then when some decisions didn't go his way (Hussey was all over him several time and nothing given) after this, Murphy seemed to retreat into his shell and fade out of the match after the third or fourth decision wasn't given.

Armstrong not really getting the chances today and being frustrated for the first 65 minutes today, not been firing on all cylinders recently. Keeps going, making the runs and putting himself in the right positions and bags two quick fire goals for his just rewards

He just wasn't ready. Was expecting a shot I think.

He had his hands on his head, seconds before we took a quick free kick and Murphy nearly scored from the quick free kick. The ref pulled it back to be retaken as he wasn't ready and Murphy was passed the ball again and he was still thinking of the missed chance.

RCC 7 - Solid enough. Bury weren't exactly a night attacking threat today.

Ricketts 7 - Better performance than recent games.

Cargill 8 - As good as I remember him at Port Vale. Calm and effective.

Stephens 7 - As Otis says, see above.

Stokes 8 - Good goal, a performance that we became used to earlier in the season.

Vincelot 7 - Warrior.

Fleck 7 - More at home alongside ze Frenchman.

Murphy 6 - A better performance for sure. Good to see him try and put them under pressure and he actually won a header today. Still the poorest player in the team again today though, and would like to see JOB in for him next week.

Maddison 7 - Good touches and the creativity today was decent. He does get pushed around, but is definitely too theatrical!

Cole 9 - MOTM. The class was there today and you can tell he's played at a much higher level.

Armstrong 7.5 - I'm giving him an extra half for two goals.

Subs: Too little time to rate them really... Fuck it, they can have 10's.

I think I have marked down slightly due to the fact that Bury were so poor.

Would have scored both Cargill and Stephens higher if it wasn't for the fact that the opposition rarely tested them.

Same with Fleck, who had a great game, but they gave him far too much space.

Bury were v v poor and Clarke missed a couple of excellent chances. I thought the whole team played well. I was impressed by the two youngsters in defence. Today fleck and Vincelot were back to their best TOGETHER. Cole pulled all the strings. Murphy did well and by keeping wide on the flank pulled their defence wide giving arma more space and he got his two goals.
We really could have put this league to bed if we hadn't had the back 4 disrupted so often.

Yep. It has hurt us badly. Thing is, think we all pretty much knew Reda Johnson wasn't going to last, so perhaps we shouldn't have renewed his contract after all.

Maybe if we had, had the likes of a Cargill or Stephens in from the onset we wouldn't have suffered the problems we had.

RCC 7 delt with pretty much everything, crucial saves again. Distribution much better today.
Ricketts 6 might of got a 7 if he could keep the ball in play more often
Cargil 8 excellent..... So Confident on the ball too
Stephens 8 played along side cargil like they've been together 20 games already, excellent too.
Stokes 8 deserved his goal, some good work covering the left side today. Nice guy to talk to too.
Fleck 8 back to his best today, wish he'd try long shots more often. Drives us forward well
Vincelot 8 warrior! Puts his head/body in for everything gave 100% again.
Murphy 6 much better defensively today but lost his way attacking hussey, had the beating of him if he got into 2nd,3rd gear.
Maddison 7.5 good game, nice goal and touches. Really should of played Ricketts in on goal
Cole 9 quality all round today, pulled the strings of others. Job well done
Armstrong 7.5 won some good balls against a big pair of cb's, stood his ground well and took his goals as well as ever
Lameiras 6 game was well done before he came on, would like to see him play more as he's got quality.
Rose 6 got quality and a beast of a player. Useful addition to the team

Rcc 7 gave up a few rebounds but they were from seriously dangerous balls. Thought he punched well when under pressure. 1 amazing point blank save from Leon clarke too

Stokes 8 solid in defence and got fwd alot. Great finish

Cargill 9 this boys a player. So good at passing but tough too. Goal to boot

Stephens 8 did great with some amazing blocks too

Ricketts 8 more like we expect today. Solid in defence

Vincelot 8 another great performance. Battled so well and was the bite we needed in middle

Fleck 8 goal and assist. Back to pulling strings like earlier in season

Murphy 6 not his day at all. Assist though lol. Fans get on his back too much though imo

Maddison 7 slick finish for goal and he got half their team on yellow cards on himself lol

Cole 8 really starting to show his class. Never misplaced a pass and 3 assists too. Best gsme so far

Armstrong 8 ran keeper down alot and 2 brilliant finishes

Rose and lameires didn't really get a touch if the ball unfortunately

RCC - 7 - some decent saves. Looked much more confident with two centre backs who are good on the ball in front of him.

Ricketts - 6 - just feel he's a bit leggy, which I do appreciate at 34(?) he will be. Got caught too square by their winger on a few occasions.

Stephens - 7 - looks assured on the ball, not particularly physical but knows how to position himself.

Cargill - 8 - won pretty much everything in the air, and seems to be far better on the ball than any centre back since Scott Dann.

Stokes - 7 - good, hard performance. Offered an outlet on the left consistently.

Vincelot - 8 - won the midfield battle easily, and allowed those around him to flourish.

Fleck - 8 - controlled the game, and seems to be back to the Fleck of early season. Another one who seems more confident knowing he can give it to the centre backs.

Murphy - 6 - had Hussey on toast for the first 20 minutes, then seemed to lose interest a bit. Frustrating when a couple of balls came into his zone to run onto and he seemed to give up. It'll come good again soon.

Maddison - 8 - afforded so much time and space dropping between their defence and midfield, which allowed him to run at the centre backs all afternoon.

Cole - 9 - oozing class at the moment. First touch was sublime, and starting to link up well with those around him.

Armstrong - 8 - didn't do an awful lot, but put himself about and got 2 goals as his reward.

Subs
Lameiras - 5 - couldn't get on the ball for love nor money. Was desperate to see one of his reverse passes as it would have split the Bury defence wide open.

Rose - 6 - great engine on him, and gives us a presence in midfield that others maybe don't.

All in all a cracking performance.

The run for the 6th showed what he's about

I see according to the BBC stats we only had 7 shots on target! Not bad that, scoring 6 from them.

I thought that Murphy was by far the worst player for us yesterday. It is so frustrating to see a player with so much ability show so little interest for most of the time. Once again yesterday he backed out of all of the 50/50 challenges. I am sorry to say that with his attitude he will not become the very good player that he has the potential to be.

The lad is not a tackler! He would probably end up injured. Some players just can't tackle and that's not his job anyway.

Did Michael Owen tackle? Tommy Hutchison?

No doubt you'd rather have a player like Andy Morrell, no ability but a trier.

Murphy isn't the sort of player to go in for 50 50s, it's not part of his game. How many goals has he scored so far this season?

A lot more than if he had a broken leg.

When you consider the attention Madison got , the times he was taken out on the ball his influence on the game through creating space was superb . We were unlucky to lose him and Norwich ,very lucky to get him

Stupid sale

If we do get promoted he'd sort of player who can b x factor in championship

Thid sale makes no sense. We would get big fee in summer too or next year

The thing is, not only is he not a good tackler but he's also afraid of being tackled. There's a few times this season where he's clear favourite to the ball and bottled it as he doesn't want to get clattered by the defender.

Yesterday as soon as Hussey started getting physical with him he would give up on the ball almost immediately and just moan at the officials for a foul. You could see his head dropping. In his defence he was being fouled by Hussey everytime but I thought his reaction was disappointing.

rcc 8 fantastic to get his body(shoulder) behind clarkes point blank shot, good positioning for his header later on too

stokes 8 beast, great goal
cargill and stevens 8 amazing double display although clarke had 3 easy clear cut chances that would have been punished on another day
ricketts 6 can hardly remember him , which is strange

fleck 7 loads of room, a couple lovely passes but lost a few that....
vincelot 8 helped fleck out massively today, was flecks minder and broke up play all day
maddison 7 yeah, great goal but annon for lots of the game
cole 9 simply too good for this division, took the piss with ease, would love to seen him withdrawn later on
murphy 7 was alright , picked out fleck late on for the 6th whilst surrounded by 3 players, dont think that side of the pitch is his favourite

arma 7 annon too but popped up with a couple late on

rose and lameras couldnt score, although i liked to style of play rose gives the side, powerful and puts himself about, first time ive seen him play

the 3 ex cov defenders reminded me of konjic for derby last game at highfield road last game, fucking shiiiiit

i dont think armas, maddison or flecks goals would have gone in if they had any other keeper in goal, i think the scoreline flattered us alot,

you can only play whats in front of you, and its a timely ego boost besides the fact that we werent at our best imo
