Shipley and O'Hare were the stand outs for me. O'Hare's close control is outstanding, and he seems to have the ability to turn his opponent with ease. We obviously rode our luck tonight, but this sides ability to come from behind and score late goals is something I'm just not used to. Hopefully this upcoming break won't dent our momentum or the self belief that seems apparent in the team at the moment.

Gotta be positive and hope its just a well deserved break for the lads and more time for kelly and allen to heal up

Marosi - 5 - gave me the fear tonight the way we play it out from the back it’s always gonna catch us out at some point

Dabo - 6 - I quite like dabo despite some of the stick he can get, really like him going forward but some poor passing in the second half and what was that foul throw

Hyam- 7 - very solid when called upon very composed.

McFadzean - 7.5 - a proper leader, impressed with him today broke the ball out of the defence well a couple times.

Mason - 7 - a good return to the starting 11 looked lively down that left hand side same as dabo few questionable passes but yet to see him play a bad game yet.

Walsh - 6 - thought he was quite poor for the first 20 odd minutes, couldn’t trap the ball and seemed to give it away. Grew into the game as it went on and what a finish that is I for one lost it.

Shipley - 8 - think that may of been the best game I’ve seen him play this season. Thought he was involved a lot more .

Jobello - 6.5 - surprised there is a few posters saying he wasn’t that good thought he was a lot better today, didn’t seem afraid to run at his man and beat him a few times, sometimes it looks like even he doesn’t know what he’s gonna do but I think he is getting slightly more into it each game.

Hiwula - 6.5 - I find he goes missing a lot during matches, but can pop up with something at times. Should of had two possibly even three.

O’hare - 8.5 - He seems to just be getting better, thought he was absolutely everywhere today and integral to our play, did his duties defensively as well, very exciting to watch.

Godden - 6 - not his best game but he can become very isolated up top on his own, fantastic pass to set up Hiwulas chance.

Kastaneer - still looks like he’s trying too hard to impress but feel he will have something to offer as the season goes on

Biamou - don’t remember him touching the ball since he game off but the change in shape bring in him on meant seemed to help us a bit. Good to see him back.

Biamou lovely turn and ball out to Godden but the game did pass him by a bit. Grendel particularly impressed with his waving and applauding at the end

I'm concerned. We'd have lost to better opposition tonight. We've been worked out that we're in trouble with a high press. Must be space forward when that's on but we look vulnerable. However, great effort, great attitude and definitely take the 3 points.

Marosi 6 Other than the first 15 minutes he was fine.
Dabo 6 Good forward moves but die of his decision making is atrocious
McFadzean 7 Started poorly but gradually took control of the game
Hyam 7 Didn’t really put a foot wrong.
Mason 6 Looked a little rusty, I do wish though they would give him the confidence to have a shot. Twice he got into positions to shoot but laid it off. To me shot at least you are going to score occasionally.
O’Hare 7 Some cleaver moves and demonstrated in the last minute how to kill a game off where others in the past would have shit and given the opponents another chance to come back at you.
Shipley 6 2 great assists but to often gave the ball away needlessly
Walsh 6 Thought very poor in first 20 minutes then started to improve. Great 12 with Shipley for his goal.
Hiwula 6 yes he scored but did he make a meal of it. Missed 2 really good chances. There were a number of occasions where he took 3 or 4 touches to get the ball under control. He seems either not interested or lacks concentration when at other times he shows brilliance.
Jobello 6 knocked over quite a few decent crosses but still seems to struggle with some of the physical side of the game
Godden 6 Thought he was a lot quieter tonight. Did an awful lot of running without reward.
Result was outstanding given in general how poor we were in comparison to so many other matches this season.

Very concerning, we might lose at some point this season.

Marosi 6 - have to accept that sometimes those mistakes will happen. Hell, even Man City and Arsenal were making them at the weekend.
Dabo 6 - not the best I’ve seen him, got forward we’ll but lacked composure in their half.
McFadzean 8 - nothing getting past him tonight, and some lovely measured passes as well.
Hyam 7 - also coped well with their attack, not quite as proficient on the ball.
Mason 7 - good all-action return to the starting lineup. Won a lot of challenges he had no right to.
Walsh 6 - maybe a little harsh but distribution wasn’t great throughout and was partially culpable for their goal.
O’Hare 8 - close control is ridiculously good for our level. Will be a key player for us this season.
Shipley 7 - good game, couple of assists including that sensational ball for Hiwula’s goal.
Hiwula 6 - needs to be more clinical, could have gone in at half time with a hat trick.
Jobello 6 - some good crosses but at times tried to over-complicate the play.
Godden 6 - not wholly at fault for this as support was lacking by-and-large.

Kastaneer 6 - there’s a player in there, just needs a bit more coaching to channel it correctly.
Biamou N/A - wasn’t really involved after coming on.

How the hell was the goal Marosi's fault? He played a ball that he plays sever times a game and all season Kelly has managed to move it out, this time Walsh booted it up in the air then took their man out. Nothing to do with the keeper. I heard people shouting 'get it forward' and 'stop messing about with it' within the first 2 minutes. People are looking for problems with playing it out from the back because they're not used to football being played like this. We're unbeaten in 9, have won every game at home and are top of the league. Stop flapping.

Marosi - 5 a number of times nearly gifted them goals, goal was a poor pass from him.

Dabo - 6, did alright, passing was a bit off

Mason - 7

Hyam - 7

McFadzean - 8

Shipley - 8. 2 assists played well

Walsh - 8, started shaken but grew into the game lovely play for his goal

O’Hare - 9 brilliant first start, hope it continues

Hiwula - 6, took goal well, could have easily had a few more. Runs were good but last touch was awful

Godden - 6, thought it was his worst game for us so far. Tried with what he got, but wasn’t the same player he has been

Jobello -6, a lot of puff but not much coming off for him

Subs:
Biamou and Kastaneer - didn’t really influence anything so no rating

Overall delighted with the win. Think the weekend break is coming at a good time for us - we look a little jaded

8.2 for Jordan Shipley? I'm surprised, I thought it more like an 8.3 performance last night.

Marosi 6 shouldn’t pass a short straight ball out to someone with 2 players on him
Dabo 7 never seen anyone get booked so easily
Mcfadzean 7
Hyam 8
Mason 7 almost a great performance but final ball /pass often poor or delayed
Walsh 7 a real mixed bag from him
Shipley 8 one of his best games for us
O’hare 8 unbelievable energy
Hiwula 7 some good some bad and some ugly
Jobello 6 is he going to buy in the right ball this season?
Godden 6

It’s played into Walsh about waist height. I agree that people get twitchy about it, Gary Neville was apparently saying on Monday Night Football that pundits and fans need to adjust to this style of play and not moan about clearing it. These things happen.

Agree that it wasn't Marosi's fault, it looked like Walsh tried to flick the ball past the Wimbledon player with the outside of his foot.

Harsh on Marosi. Don't think it was entirely on him for their goal. Walsh had poor moments but came up with the winner. Got to accept the odd gaff if we're going to enjoy the benefits of how we play. We're top and haven't lost. I think it may be working.

Guy near to me was possibly the worst fan I’ve ever been around at a game, at that truly says something.
I’ve never seen someone more raging at a player for a mistake. “You’re f****** worse than Burge”. Dabo also became the worst player we’ve ever signed. “Every f****** week!”
He also dropped the ultimate knuckle dragging comment “f**** sake, get it long!” (Ball goes long and we lose a header) “who the f*** was that to?!?”
Will go out of my way to move if I’m ever stood near him again. Was anyone close to the two guys who squared up to each other in the lower section? A bald guy was giving it the big ‘un to a big bearded chap who firmly stood his ground then pushed the bloke, who lost his cap which was amusing. Was only after all this did I realise that the bald bloke was kicking off with a guy who was with his daughter who was about 7 and in floods of tears. We’re obviously not alone, but we have some proper vile fans.

Id suggest that its teams need to adjust to this style of play... and realise that they dont always have to play out from the back!!

if its on its on, and its great to watch it played out, but if it isnt on & you are playing suicide balls in your own penalty area with attackers right on the shoulder of the defender you are playing the ball to... then make a sensible decision and play it a bit longer. Im not even suggesting a hoof upfield ( although sometimes thats fine too... clear the danger, regroup & go again ) im just suggesting a ball played over that first line of attack to a player on the wing or something.

Its almost become an obsession now with having to play out , no matter the danger or if its on or not... I think we can help take the pressure off ourselves and cut out these mistakes if we stop doing that

ps - should just follow that slight negative up with, what a come back again!! cant fault their resilience and 'play to the whistle' mentality. Played some great one touch movement footy to at times. hiwula could have have a hat trick

I too am sat around loads of fans who start shouting nooo as soon as a defender passes to the keeper, and hit it long

I pointed out to one of them the 3 times he’d gone long we’d lost the ball and he just kept saying just kick it. Next comment from them when they kicked it long was ‘whose that too’

Watched it now and Walsh tries to turn to the right with the outside of his right foot and the ball is bouncing rather than rolling. We’d have broken away leaving 4 Wimbledon players out the game. That’s why we do it

Must admit the playing around the back gives me kittens at times. Seem to take unnecessary risks too often; and at L1 level there will be times when it goes horribly wrong. However it’s great to see our players looking for the ball and in general looking comfortable in possession.
I think we are right to do it at present as godden or Hiwula are not going to flick on or hold up the long clearance. When max or Baka on the options are different also we do not have anyone with genuine pace so the quick long ball less of an option (than when we had Thomas).

Ok, seen it back and Walsh is much more at fault. Not the best ball from Marosi still, don’t want it bouncing towards you in that situation, but Walsh should have done much better.

Is that 2 goals given away through playing out from the back now? Or was that the first? Never mind, it will work more often than it doesn’t, and it’s a key part of our play.

Only seen the highlights, but it's NOT the time to play nice football out from the back when you have 4 attacking players pressing the back 4 on the edge of the box. Marosi should have hoofed it.
