I'd go with the same starting 11, that midfield of Grimes/Sheaf/ Rudi is immense and yes it will be tough at Plymouth but we will have enough to beat them. I wonder if Bobby and/or EMC will be back in the match day squad for Monday?

Going back to that midfield what a player Rudi is, you could see how good he was back in preseason against Everton but he's just unplayable now!, rated him last year even tho playing in a poor team at Huddersfield, and looking back at their fans comments on him is amusing.

Sure does make you wonder what if we signed him instead of Palmer in ‘22

Palmer always has that moment of magic, he is a skillful player but he just doesn't do it consistently mate that is his problem, alot of the time he frustrated me with either losing the ball in a dangerous areas or falling over then complaining for half an hour to the ref.

With Palmer when he just needed to make a simple pass he'd do abit of showboating and lose possession, when he needed to use a bit of skill to get out a situation or move the attack forward he'd make a pass that ended up with the opposition, his decision making left alot to be desired and it was a shame really.

If we can't be confident of beating 2 of the worst teams in the league then we really have no business being in the play offs

Sheffield United just got beat by Plymouth so do they have no business being in the play offs? Equally Derby did the double over us despite being pants, yet we are still in a play off position! If we lose to Plymouth or Luton but still end up in the play offs then we will have every right being part of them.

Football is not an exact science, with there being unpredictable results week in week out. Confidence can also easily turn into complacency, and needs to be managed correctly. FL and the players are sending out the correct messages in adopting the cliche of 'concentrating on one game at a time', and hopefully we batter Plymouth as a result, but in every match there are too many variables to mean that victory is a certainty.

One or two will need resting, but it's a horrible situation for a manger, if you rest Rudoni and MvE and don't win, it could ruin the whole season.
But if they pick up an injury and miss the playoffs it's game over!
Ultimately we have to take the risk and play them as we still need the win.

Yes, you can lose with 90% possession, with the opposition keeper having a blinder, absolutely no luck if front of goal, with the ref giving absolutely nothing, but everything to the opposition.
The next time could be a completely different outcome.

We need all our big players playing mate, they could get injured any point of the season, we were lucky with Rudi at Oxford let's pray we stay in good health till the season is done

The highlights from Friday had them playing well with fast counter attacks. The penalty against them looked like their player joke tapped the Middlesbrough player on yhe opposite shoulder to cinfuse / distract him and he then went down like a sack of spuds looking for it and got it
I think he caught his foot as well as pushed him. If it was our player through on goal and it happened we would all say it was 100% a pen. 😜

I’m confident we’ll roll these over comfortably. As disappointing as the draw v Hull was, we were pretty dominant, albeit the chance creation being quite low.

Plymouth need to win more than we do so that should give us the opportunity to put them to the sword.

2-0 win.

It is very unusual to field the same team over the two Easter matches, as someone usually picks up a slight injury, that may become serious if they have to play again. Unfortunately, due to injuries we have virtually no other options. We did ease off against WBA so hopefully everyone is OK.

Remember Stoke A, Portsmouth A and Derby A all had their first choice defence decimated and we were beaten by the more determined team.

Stoke (pre-Lampard) and Pompey we can kind of write off because Portsmouth’s home record is 10th in the league and accounts for 73.5% of their points this season. For reference, we have 13 home wins this and only have 6 more home points than Pompey at home.

Derby was the biggest let down because the performance was shit and we didn’t look like scoring after they went 1-0 up. Outside of a good winning streak when Eustace came in, their home form hasn’t been great.

This one is my least confident of a win out of our last 3 games. I'm with my son in law who supports Plymouth. Looking forward to the game but their strength is our weakness. He says they sit back and hit quickly on the break. Says they play best against sides that play a high line.

Don't think we will lose but it won't be easy to come away with the win.

I know people keep saying they are bottom and bottom for a reason etc, but I am expecting them to play nothing like a bottom of the table side tomorrow.

We have to match their passion, desire and energy.
