So if we have 3 good performnaces before the end of the year, but get 3 draws you'd be happy if it meant falling out the play offs?
No I have preemptively addressed this in other threads

Obviously clinching is most important but for me if we can play well and to do it that's important and if that means a closer run in than if we got lucky with poor displays but wins then I would take that. But clinching matters most obviously

In amongst those results is a 0-3 against Sheff Weds, 2-3 against Derby, various draws against other teams at the bottom. If we turn up and perform we win.
They have better results against the top 10 sides than most.

Shall we pick out some of our own bad results? You say Derby. Not the best team to choose.

OK Well I haven't read those threads, and you said the thing you wanna see mostly is a good performance. My main focus is 3 points.

Secret Plymouth fan obviously. You probably were worried we would lose to plucky Maidstone.

They’re good when they’ve got space to counter and shite against teams who make it a battle

Problem is we’ll likely employ the former

I’ve picked results at home from January onwards. Nothing that suggests they’re invincible, and I’ve said we need to be on our game as we get punished when we aren’t.

Just more realistic than yourself.

A win would be brilliant. But the win isn't a given. If we don't win I won't be on here having a total breakdown like some would.
Nobody has said the win is a given, but the expectation should be to win against a team who are bottom of the table, when we are chasing the Premier League.

From January?

Just from memory 3 home games on the bounce in February

Beat WBA
Beat Liverpool
Beat Millwall 5-1

Any team that’s lost 3-0 at home to sheff weds I’m not going to worry about, this is a must win for them, totally different game, they‘ll be knackered physically and mentally after losing to boro in the last minute, theyve got a couple missing and haven’t got the same quality of player we have to come in, nothing about this game to worry about, if we don’t win it’s because we’ve had a shocker ( which we won’t) not because we’ve been outplayed by Plymouth

Lost 4 in 11 so we should easily win 😂😂😂
Nobody is saying we should EASILY win. But for a team aiming for promotion we should be winning this game in reality. Punters clearly think so as we are odds on to win despite being away.

They’ve won 5 since he took over on the 10th Jan

I mean anything can happen but the idea that people are majorly worried about playing a team as bad as Plymouth is mad.

If we play near our best then we should win easily.
Well yeah, but it's not mad if you put it in the context of this being our third game in a week.

We are also missing players. And this is not to pee on their chips in any way, shape or form, but Lati and Collins have had very little to do these past two games and been under very little threat. Be interesting to see how they fare today

Then you just have to factor in that Plymouth are capable of beating much better sides than themselves.

It all comes down to on the day doesn't it. They obviously have been really inconsistent all season long.

I do think that they will play well today. We just have to match that.

If everyone is fit and healthy and we put in anything like a approaching the performance of the last two games, we should surely win.

Yes, just home games since Jan. Under Rooney:

P10 W4 D4 L2

So actually the PPG at home was better under Rooney than the new man.
So they have only lost 4 home games so far this year as you have pointed out from 11 games and have a very good record against top 10 sides this season yet you think we should win this game easily?

I'll leave the 2 of you to big up our chances and hope that the pair of you are correct.

Optimistic for this one even more so after reading A plymouth fans write up. Best crossing team in Europe versus a team with several CB out who can’t deal with crosses apparently.

They'll be fighting for their lives but we should just be too much for them quality wise 2-0 Cov
This is what a lot of fans including our own seem to forget, we score plenty from balls into the box.

But they haven’t played us yet 😉👍

Who said we could win this game easily? You are making things up.

That's what I fear on this match thread. I think if it ends up as a draw there will be a lot of wailing and gnashing of teeth and a pile on. 😂

If we lose, I am going to run to a secluded monastery and become a monk taking silent vows for a week

I have said nowhere about easy. I have said if we turn up and perform we’ll win. Their home form before and after Christmas is almost identical, it’s on the road where the new manager has improved things but let’s be honest, it was nearly impossible to do worse.

I’ll change my mind so Lamps can rest

we need to be at our plucky best against a fantastic Plymouth side with a world class manager. Play our best and have a big players turn up we MAY scrape a draw and I’d be ecstatic with that

They've only lost 4 though out of 11. That's 7 out of 11 left without a win. Then add Liverpool in the cup to that.

Sheffield United were in the top 2 and were aiming to finish in the top 2. Wilder said before the game that they're bottom for a reason and expected the win. It was after we lost to Sheffield United. Shock horror Plymouth beat them.

You’re right. I’ve just lumped on a Plymouth win. I hope we are at our best to get a draw
