What's the general feeling on here regarding the recent signings P*mpey have made given they have a transfer embargo over them and were able to name a full 16 man squad just prior to the signings (this is above the minimum of 14 which triggers the clause allowing signings and not to mention them farming their youth out but bringing in players from Prem sides)?
I was on the understanding that the FL had rules in place to stop teams gaining an unfair advantage ....... kind of ironic really.
Also 1st April 2012 is the date of their first scheduled payment on their CVA. There are rumblings that their former administrator, AA, put a clause in it that says to the effect that the scheduled payments are only guide and that the CVA only has to be repaid in full on the final day (don't know if this is the legal position). Should they fail to meet a CVA payment I'd like to think that the FL would consider further points deductions as this is in effect the same result as exiting administration without a CVA.
Saints fans have the long running thread on our forum but we are always interest in what other fans of the team potentially seriously affected by the actions of P*mpey actually think of the goings on.
We have been writing to the FL for clarification on some of these points (not that it does any good) to express our concern that the integrity that they speak of is seriously undermined.
we must send them down for the greater good
Apparently former Pompey Chief Executive Peter Storrie would relish a return to the club, god help them if he does! http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/17545079
I would suggest that they call Health & Safety in as soon as possible because there is obviously something in the water or air that sends management at the Pompey delusional . Feel sorry for the Pompey fans
Their local paper match report already in including interview with Appy.

'HMRC are currently waiting for the High Court verdict on the Football Creditor’s Rule after opening a case against the Football League last November. A decision is expected over the next few weeks.'
So, Pompey currently £58m in debt, £20m more than when they went into admin in Oct 2010 - http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/17679909. I cannot possibly see how they are going to start next season.
Not sure if this was discussed previously, but those with anger management issues should probably steer clear -

Any legal eagles reading may know differently, but I'm not sure how the FL can win that one. Next season could start with a fair few on -10pts...
Said it before on here , when i first started going up hr it cost me 25 pence which i could easily afford from my pocket money from my dad. No child now has £20 pocket money, add on a program and say a mcdonalds and its too much money. Thats one of the reasons our stadium is half full ...or even less !Am I being cynical here or am I right in thinking all this has been caused by the fat cat multi-millionaire owners who sell up when the shit hits the fan, SKY TV, and the stupidly high obscene wages that some players are on? I cringe when I hear what a player is earning these days - even in the lower leagues. It's no wonder clubs fold!
don't think it's been mentioned on here but emergency loans are only for 28 days and that period is up for at least one of their loan players but guess what? The FL has decided not to enforce the rule and let them stay till the end of the season.
it doesn't sound like the administrator has had much interest from potential buyers. A fan buyout is currently looking like the prefered option but they are expecting the council / sport england (lottery funded) to stump up most of the money. Surely if this happened, esp with lottery money, there will be a lot of clubs asking questions.

HMRC document reveals level of unpaid tax
Darlington FC were required to pay just £3.64 in unpaid tax, despite owing more than £400,000, following their second spell in administration in 2009.
The tax authorities' document reveals how Darlington were required to pay just £3.64 of unpaid tax in 2009, as part of an administrator's deal that saw unsecured creditors offered 0.0009% of money owed.
In 2007, the HMRC document states that Leeds were required to pay 2% of £7.7m in unpaid tax that equates to around £154,000.
HMRC claim they are owed at least nearly £40m in unpaid tax, between 2000 and 2010, after 53 cases of clubs in England entering administration.
there's a meeting shortly to do with obtaining a new CVA. not sure on the mechanics of how you can make a CVA agreement when there's no owner to foot the bill.
Couple of queries tho, it seems noone has yet had a payment from the last CVA which i think was 6p in the £. Do they still get that or will they only get a % of that based on a new CVA? Can see a few companies objecting if they are being expected to write off even more, surely it gets to the point where they're not really getting anything back and would be better pushing Pompey to liquidation to see if they can get more back that way.
You're right to say that no one has yet received a penny from the original CVA.
According to a previous quote from Birch, creditors would get say 20% of 20% eg, 4p from their original £1 debt...
