For me one of his best interviews. Very honest without blaming individuals.

Im sorry but what the hell is the crack with all of these makeshift interviews? Right bodge job. Looks like it was filmed with a fucking potato.....people sticking iPhones in Pressleys face instead of a microphone...godknowswho in the room chatting away and making noise and casting a shadow on the picture...
And on the rare occasion that its filmed with a CCFC advert board (or whatever its called) in the background, its wobbling all over the place as someone is clearly just holding it up. I remember seeing one a week or two ago and Pressley looked visibly pissed off that people were coming in and out of the room and slamming the door.
Okay, so its not that important in the grand scheme of things but it just looks SO cheap and unprofessional. Is it that hard to use a microphone and get the bloke into a spare room? Maybe that would be too expensive.....
As if the club isn't enough of a laughing stock
how about just once properly?Seriously? Who cares? If I want high production values and 4k resolution I'll go to the cinema. If I want to hear the content of what our manager says 15 minutes after the game, then I'll put up with the microphones, bad framing, and dodgy set that are necessary to get it online so quickly. Do you really think Pressley has the time or inclination to do these interviews twice so that our media team can make it look pretty?

You can't do it once properly. He's filming an interview setup for radio so subsequently, you're either gonna not shoot because it's not gonna look nice, or grab what you can get. Or get him to do it once for the benefit of the radio so they can get their iPhones in and once for the benefit of YouTube so you can take them out and frame it nicely.
I've never seen an issue with it. I want to hear what he has to say, not look at a pretty set behind him.

This was filmed at Notts County...it's their responsibility to provide adequate post-match interview facilities. They've obviously not done that, yet that's our fault? Unbelieveable this place sometime.
It's not even at 'home' and it's our fault. FFS!!!

Sorry if I wasn't clear (thought I was when I used the plural of "interviews", and referring to others in the past) but it wasn't a rant about this specific interview. Look back through the interviews and you'll find that its all the same. Even at "home" games he's in a room with people coming in and out with a wobbly ccfc board behind, probably being held up by a ball boy, 3 iphones shoved in his face, poor quality, and being filmed with what seems like a Nokia 6230.
Even if I was exclusively referring to this one interview, which I wasn't, I doubt it would be hard to find an empty room, stick someone outside saying wait 2 minutes we're having an interview, and use a microphone and a camera on a tripod?

We haven't had a home game this season yet. If you abscond to play on a cabbage patch the off field facilities
will be the same as the pitch--Rubbish.
Apologies, I did mis-read...my bad.
I get what your saying...but the quality of what's said is the most important thing for me (i'm sure it is for you as well). Couldn't give a two hoots if it looks like it's been filmed by two giddy school boys who've just found a secret stash of Hooch.
If anything, it's more reflective of our ramshackles of a club, in the public eye. If it's happening elsewhere, League One clubs media depts need to take a long hard look at themselves!
Like I said though, SPs content is more important than flappy boards (almost a topical reference there....) in the background. Apologies again for mis-reading.

It isn't a good point, you can very easily do it properly, we arn't asking for a set and 4k, it just needs to be filmed by a dslr, with an image stabilised lens and an external mic, you could do it brilliantly for a grand, well for a few hundred, or for free by asking a fan with the equipment to do it, you'd easily be able to find someone with the offer of free season ticket, free away tickets and the ability to sell the photos you take to getty. are they doing it properly for radio or does it sound the same there with loud wind noise and general awful sound quality.
There is no good reason for quality this bad, its simply incompetence and while it's not the end of the world of course I bet a significant amount of people don't watch that whole interview due to its quality. no one is asking for perfect, just reasonable picture quality, no shaky cam and the ability to clearly hear the questions and answers.
I think you're missing the point Noggin.
Clearly this is the media guy filming the radio interviews with SP on his iPhone to put it on YouTube.
Even with a DSLR, an image stabiliser and an external mic (often shitter than an iPhone mic) you'd still have the microphone in front of his face and the wobbling CCFC board behind him.
Plus you're overcomplicating something which is essentially just Stephen Pressley giving a radio interview. IE, you'd then have to digitise the rushes, edit them, and export them. What's the point when you can just film it on your iphone and upload it to YouTube straight away? Not to mention the hassle of organising an extra person to come with their DSLR kit and giving them a free season ticket!
As a consumer of this I'd much rather hear what Stephen Pressley has to say at 17:00 on a matchday then wait until 18:00 for a prettier picture - I barely ever look at it anyway.
You could get a stabalising iPhone case and an external light and mike and use the same software they're using to send to YouTube right now. No editing or anything else needed.
It's about the inputs, not the processes.
Yes, but again, it's extra kit and you'd still have the problem of iPhone's in his face and the wobbly board.
If this was a Press Conference with a proper stage in a proper MediaSuite - I think shooting it in this way would be bizarre. However, grabbing a radio interview on your iPhone in Notts County's dugout so you can upload it quickly for the fans - perfectly reasonable.
What do you mean? There are no inputs into an iPhone or a DSLR.
Any system is made of three parts: the inputs, the processes and the outputs.
many can be remotely controlled entirely.
