Can't we all just get back to supporting a football team when they play football
matches?
I think regarding rent, the 2 camps are clearly PRO-CCFC and ANTI-CCFC!
If you look at valiant's and CJ's comments, they are a disgrace. Both publicly saying they want the club to fail.
I think that the latter camps' has lost credibility because of these outbursts.
Also, I don't particularly like SISU, nor do Torch or Grendel but we get labelled 'SISU lovers' because we defend them on some occasions.
Anyway, back to the threads that involve the team

I don't know why SISU are thought of as some evil organisation who can only do bad. They are a company trying to do what is best for their shareholders and in the majority of cases this is also what is best for the club. Yes, they got last year wrong, but they have shown signs of learning from their mistakes. I get the feeling some people believe they sit in their office all day plotting how to piss CCFC fans off.
All Coventry Fans would want the rent down whilst Non Coventry fans would want it up. Simple fact.
This would be the case regardless whether SISU are there or not.
Anyway, back to the threads that involve the team
I agree that it is possible to like some of the things they do, and dislike others. I like to remain impartial on our owners. I'll criticise if they do wrong, and praise if they do right. Trying to reduce the rent is right in my opinion.
Anyway, what i love most about the absolute ANTI-SISU brigade, is the fact that they have it in their heads that SISU don't care about the club in any capacity and are only here for the ricoh and surrounding land. But do they never contemplate that the two are linked? A successful club can surely only help them achieve their goals. If you're going to build hotels and restaurants and whatever on the surrounding land, then 30,000 people turning up every other week offers you the potential for a far better return, than if there are 8000 turning up in league 1, or even less in league 2! It just doesn't make commercial sense to disregard to club.
The below strength team due to excessive rents and missing cash flows.
Yes but what about the people who claim to be Coventry fans an are totally against a rent reduction? All Coventry Fans would want the rent down whilst Non Coventry fans would want it up. Simple fact.

Exactly my point, none of that in the slightest interests me, we have a squad of players that I'm fully behind, all the other nonsense and out cash flows and the like I have no interest in. I have my own cash flows to worry about without having to worry about that of my club
Yes but what about the people who claim to be Coventry fans an are totally against a rent reduction?
Why would a genuine supporter be against the club paying less rent? I don't get how that is possible?
Less rent/more favourable rent agreement means more money for the club to invest in other areas such as players and therefore hopefully greater success.

This is great, genuinely, I think we'd all love to be able to not have to worry about the finances of the club or how its being run, but its essential that at least some fans out there care enough about those things to ask intelligent and probing questions.
The alternative is total apathy, and that would be much much worse.
Please don't take that the wrong way - hopefully 95% of fans just care about the team. But don't knock the other 5%, they're just as important.
It was the first thing SISU paid off when taking over the club and led to the lifting of the transfer ban.Personally I don't agree with the concept 'if you support Coventry different moral rules apply if it helps Coventry'
I felt this about our signing if Marlon.
I wasn't aware that we shafted Southampton out of money for Leon Best. I assume we have now been forced to pay that?
Where do you draw the line? What's the point of having your own moral standard if you then become a complete hypocrite where Coventry are concerned?
So ACL cannot make money other than off the football club with all these wonderful facilities? Do you think they are incompetent or lazy?

The main purpose of the stadium. is a football club.
Other sources of income are supposed to be supplementary
I am sure the other sources if income ACL have generated has allowed them to come down by 66%
