My mates' firm were sponsoring "corners".

I would imagine there is not much point in them carrying on their sponsorship/advertising to a thousand people in Northampton so less advertising, to less people, equates to less jobs, which means more time that my mates sit in the boozer whilst I'm at work. And that just ain't right goddamit!

Erm that is basic marketing?

It is a bit funny all of these MP's are getting involved now, maybe if they save the day they can get voted in? Or if they act busy about it, they will get votes because of it?

To be fair Bob Ainsworth is standing down in 2015 but has still done a bit in Parliament to boost awareness.

Surely he has a point that businesses shouldn't put all of their eggs in one basket?

In fairness the OP was just asking for business' that will be effected, not ones that will go out of business, it is fair to say that ALL of the boozers around the Ricoh will be effected in some way.

I don't see your point....I am happy to give a discount to City fans, but the bar does not rely on this far from it - we have a restaurant, bar, conference facilitates, we put on entertainment all week and in fact I don't think one person has taken up the offer to my knowledge...we are fully booked most weekends - so go back read my comments and stop bothering me you idiot.

Why because you dont like the truth?

I was replying to a certain section of his post I agree that businesses should diversify but there are reasons such as the state of our economy etc that make it difficult for some businesses. The Ricoh helps some of these businesses remember if these pubs etc go they go for good

So a moron and an idiot? Ken Brown school of Hospitality then:facepalm:

No Thanks - the media vultures are circling - I would prefer it if you just didn't bother with us, as you have not gave a shit in the past...your help is not wanted, all you can gain from this at this late stage i.e on the day of the announcement of the move id self promotion - please don't treat us all with contempt we know your motives, we really have had enough...

I understand your cynicism and feel free to form your own opinion on Nikki, her policies and her work within football, in 2011-2012 Nikki sponsored many local players, 11 I believe in the local area, and supported in particular Worcester City FC financially and via other promotional activities.

I cant comment any further myself but feel free to contact her via twitter or e-mail with all your concerns and I am sure she will get back to you.

In all fairness to Nikki Sinclaire, it's not the first time she's raised concerns about the Sky Blue's case. Sometimes it seems you're damned if you do and damned if you don't.

In terms of businesses putting all of their eggs in one basket, it feels like an irrelevance to me, surely the livelehoods of 100s of people and the impact on their spending power is more important than some petty point scoring over individual business plans? Even so, a business such as the Casino is entitled to believe that a business plan based on the custom of football supporters, should be relatively safe, given that the football club in question has resided in the city for over 125 years and has only been at it's current location for 8 years.

Yes a massive outrage that your are a moron and idiot - what time will this be on ITV??? comparing my comments to not serving uniformed soldiers (pall bearers) is the measure of you, and for the record, those soldiers came to us after Browns, and were served drinks on the house, and since then we have held 2 events for Corporal Thacker - and have built a very close relationship with his family - please do not talk to me - I don't like you.

David, perhaps a couple of questions that Nikki Sinclaire could put to the Football League are

1. How can SISU, a grubby little company with no apparent assets, possibly afford to build a new stadium and bankroll a Football League side.

2. SISU have been trying, unsuccessfully, for years to attract further investment. If they have now managed to secure that investment, what are the source of the funds?

I think you're right, however all of those, apart from the Casino are not heavily reliant on income generated by Coventry City matchdays

The Casino and Compass are most likely to be majorly effected, surely they will seek compensation from ACL?

I was not refering to that I appologise for any insult. As for not liking me I like you and have in yhe past posted so. I am at the moment thinking that everybody in business is like Sisu (I realise youre not) and in the present circumstances we find ourselves in tend to lash out verbally may I add. Again no insult was intended and please accept my apology

Take her in the week, special deals on food!!

It was always good when they did special beer deals while football matches were on, many a messy Sunday!

I am at a loss to know what to say to you, and to be honest cant be bothered...ill take it down and delete the posts, will that make my comment any more valid for you?

Says the man offering 15% off if you say sissu out and advertising his nights at the same time : hmmmmmmmmmm !

in any case haven't ACL stated that there are at least 6 sports teams interested in using the Ricoh, all of whom will bring thier own fans and money along

I retweeted one of Nikki's tweets this morning, commented, and got a response almost immediately!

She does seem to have a keen interest in our case, as she has with other clubs issues so I don't believe this is a publicity stunt!

Fair play, I say! We need all the help we can get to get this the attention it needs!

Neither do I think SkyBlueRevelation (Pt2) is in it for a bit of publicity! I for one plan to take advantage of his kind offer when I make it to his bar for a bite to eat ;)

The "Cherry Tree" by the ground in Lythalls lane will close wothout the benefit of match day takings, Witherspoons proposed take over of the now closed "Rowely Green working Mens club" (150 yards away from the Ricoh) site will be canned I should imagine, I would imagine that the Casinio in the Rioh would be concerned as well

Weatherspoons want to move there? That would be a nice little earner for them (if they'd age to get it, and we say there obviously).

Wonder how the car park attendants would take to that though. Was never sure if they had genuinely purchased the land to use as a car park of of they just stood on the gate taking the cash making use of the empty (but private) land....
