Not arsed meHe was my first thought but being Argentinian I’m not sure.
Same motherDon't know him. Is he the lesser known brother of Patrick?
I don’t care about it but I weirdly wonder if it would come into play if we had them in a tournament knockout. Not arsed me
He is the most successful manager in my lifetime and in most posters on here. By quite a distanceSouthgate will be the most successful international manager for England in my lifetime - I’m sure you’ll still complain his lack of ambition as we score our 11th goal of the competition
So why the inconsistency?Robins is the most successful City manager in mine. Really this is two sides of the same coin

I think ultimately he's yet to show that he's capable of putting a plan together to beat the top tier teams. Beat the teams we should be beating generally which is good but I think we're about to find out vs France whether he's learned any lessons. It's still very hard to not look at the fact that the routes we had in past tournaments were a piece of piss , compared to what we're about to go through

Completely agree. I'll keep Robins thanks. No top side will employ him after his England stint I'm sure of that
I think this is pretty much spot on.I think ultimately he's yet to show that he's capable of putting a plan together to beat the top tier teams. Beat the teams we should be beating generally which is good but I think we're about to find out vs France whether he's learned any lessons.

G I think dislikes Robins because of previous closeness to the owners, perceived or real. Southgate for me plays in an unnecessarily conservative style given the players at his disposal. So why the inconsistency?
He i suspect will be gone after this tournament but you are disappointed at a semi final and final makes you yearn for the Cappello years
I also have a suspicion he might move aside after this.He i suspect will be gone after this tournament but you are disappointed at a semi final and final makes you yearn for the Cappello years

And losing to IcelandHe i suspect will be gone after this tournament but you are disappointed at a semi final and final makes you yearn for the Cappello years
I’m sure he will leave after this anyway so who would you pick next?G I think dislikes Robins because of previous closeness to the owners, perceived or real. Southgate for me plays in an unnecessarily conservative style given the players at his disposal.
His record against top tier sides generally shows this to be an error
Alf Ramsey was rubbish afterwards as well
OK, holding both hands up here. And now we sit back (Mk 2)
Bloke had 1 tournament, we were knocked out by a German side on the up that won the WC 4 years later , at a time where our old guard were on its last legs .
Hardly even remotely comparible
Many England managers have grim records against poor teams.Ramsey won us the world cup Southgate is adored by some despite having the easiest routes in living memory and still fucking it up 3 times btw in 3 tournaments
His record against top sides is pretty grim
Whatever you think of Southgate the players - especially the young ones - like him and work with him
Cappello was aloof and a disaster
His strength is he engages with players and gives them belief and defends them against media nonsense
I thought you said it was pointless discussing who should replace a manager in post?I’m sure he will leave after this anyway so who would you pick next?
