But we played for a draw against USA
Confidence playerSecond half Rashford is an absolutely different player from first half and looks very good.
Bit of a Robins performance though - keep it tight first half, try and make sure you're not chasing the game, step it up in the second half when your superior technical play will count against tiring players. We were shit against the USA, and pretty average in the first half today .. the rashford Freekick changed it all
We’ve scored 9 goals in the group stages and topped the group. I don’t give a shit how average we’ve been.We were shit against the USA, and pretty average in the first half today .. the rashford Freekick changed it all
I think the switch to the right has helped.Second half Rashford is an absolutely different player from first half and looks very good.
3-0 up with 15 to play, could give Maddison 15 to get some minutes in case he's needed but no, Grealish is on.

We dominated against a team that sat 10 behind the ball first half. Moved ball better than USA game but just lacking in final third. Just needed first goal
We did have a couple of nice counters first half, but Wales aren't playing to attack - not sure they could even if they wanted to - so it's just wear them down first half.City alway find a way to entertain me even when playing quite Conservative.. England's counter was still awful first half whereas city usually counter well
Has barely played for the last 4 years until Schmeichel went off to France. 16 games since 2018 and 15 of them this season.Wales keeper has been awful

Which is exactly when it should be judged.Cool , let's see what you've to say after the France game , a group we should be getting out of anyway ffs
tbf, the same as beating Wales doesn't make us world beaters, if we lose to France that won't make us a disaster either!Which is exactly when it should be judged.
We should have made the thread after tonight's match then ffs , what's all this chat aboutWhich is exactly when it should be judged.
But we played for a draw against USA
Shit
This youIn all seriousness that was the worst game of the World Cup so far
Comfortably winning the group and having 1 boring draw doesn’t require negativity though.tbf, the same as beating Wales doesn't make us world beaters, if we lose to France that won't make us a disaster either!
Quite a gulf between the two sides, it’s very evident. Wales have been sub-par even against Iran, absolutely shit, and I’m looking at Page and his staff to take the flak.
Hopefully England will get a better challenge in the knockout stages. They’ve been pretty good in this second half, I must say.
So reel in your sarcasm then , we all were pissed off with the US game and a few of us disheartened at half time todayYeah was me.
said next day. Over it and move on because 1 game wasn’t important and we can fix it today.
We did.
At the end of the day, it's a knockout tournament from now, so a bit of luck either way can swing it. My aims would be to give France a game and see what happens, and if we do that I'd say last eight in the World Cup with some decent performances is about a par performance. Better if we win, obviously(!) but we're not exactly regulars in going further than that in major tournaments.Comfortably winning the group and having 1 boring draw doesn’t require negativity though.
Big football nations judge themselves after the big games. That’s what we should do.
Job done. Pleased with topping the group and move on.
