Not lost faith just yet - For all the furore I don’t think we deserved to lose Saturday and I don’t think we deserved to lose to Sheff Wednesday either

I do think the only game this season we have been truly rotten to watch is Leeds, every other game has been on a knife edge

And there's plenty there I'm not sure about. Kitching in instead of Binks or Thomas? Torp in ahead of Rudoni? Bassette instead of Wright?

I'm not even considering Simms to start at the moment as he has so little confidence and does almost nothing to try and get himself out of the rut. I'm at the point where I'd even consider Tavares in front of him. Give him a game in the reserves and see his response - back a hatful like Bassette and even Tavares has done or just mope about. His decent run last year started after getting goals against inferior opposition so let's see if that works again.

If it's another loss and we drop into the relegation zone I do fear what the repercussions might be.

Absurd is quite a stong word. Talk me through the Bassette signing. We had already had a deep squad and a riches of forward players. You think MR asked for another forward? Or was is it more likely the scouting team and Doug (with MRs awareness perhaps) decided at 19 he was too good a prospect not to sign?
