Can we not just stick to football in the football thread?

Great start. What a difference playing with intensity makes. After that we cannot hold the ball up. Both Wright and Thomas-Asante both culpable. Rudoni needs to get on the ball too. Without controlling the ball at the top end, it will continue to be relentless pressure defensively.

Goal aside that was a terrible performance, probably worse than Saturday.

Our midfield is just completely non-existent, we’re unable to play it out from the back because there is no-one there to receive it meaning we either lose it by hoofing it long or lose it by getting pressed.

There is just serious systemic issues with this team.

Or thinking logically they're playing a bit nervous .. it's natural when you're not in good form.

Well we're winning but we're letting QPR control the game since.

Fact that we're struggling against a team as poor as QPR and are even time wasting in the first half shows how bad we are at the moment.

We score with a quick break and afterwards proceed to try and pass it around and, as per usual, mess it up and gift them the opposition. Why can they not see the stuff that works and the stuff that time after time doesn't?

Just hope we can hold on at this rate, though I'd much prefer it if they came out and tried attacking second half.

Jesus that was poor. Absolutely crying out for back 4. Rudoni off. Why is Eccles playing right WB as well as MVE? We can’t play 5 at the back with mve. Flat back 4. Stick Lati midfield just to fill the seismic chasm that has been vacated by Eccles as he has to bail Ewijk out. Really can’t see us keeping them out. We probably need 3.

Latibeaudiere is so bad technically by the way. He is awful at turning out and bringing the ball across his body.

I’d actually get Sakamoto on for Eccles, push Lati into CM and flip to a back 4.
Eccles is more mobile than Lati mind but I get your point

It's a dreary watch. Same mistakes/issues as the rest of the season. Indecisive, sloppy basic errors, lack of positivity. They are resorting to type with the backwards passing or passing into a player under pressure
Sick of hearing how all the off-field changes are setting up these players to perform.
Haven't got anyone out there strong enough to grab hold of the team or the game.

I've only just got indoors and managed to watch the last ten minutes of the first half. if that's any reflection of what has gone before it's an absolute pile of cack. Two very poor teams .

We definitely need another body in midfield, and MvE is struggling as a WB. I'd go back to a back 4 and play 5 across midfield.

Lads are working their socks off, good to see, they have to push for an equalizer, we‘ll get them on the break again,

The midfield has been the issue all season. It’s not exclusive to this game.

Not sure the midfield has been our issue all season

Sheaf and Eccles are a very capable midfield 2 .maybe rudoni needs to be pushed ahead of them both

Not a game for mobility really. Could do with someone sitting in that area of the pitch rather than going walkies every 2 minutes (not aimed necessarily at Eccles, collectively we are far too fluid).

We look a lot like Man Utd, dysfunctional and going through the motions without really knowing what we’re doing. It’s a damning indictment on these coaches.

So what subs we looking at? Simms for Wright, Torp for Rudoni on 70 mins? Whatever the score or balance of play.

It's a bad game and we look poor. Their fans booed them off at half time though, and don't forget we are winning. I would definitely be looking to make a change somewhere, we are losing everything in the middle. I'm surprised at how negative people are about Eccles, he seemed to be the only one looking to get the ball forward. Binks and JDS decent at the back as well.

very short term-ism to say ‘don’t care how we’re playing, just hold on for the win’ and ‘understandable we’re playing shite given the circumstances’ - that’s down to Robins and coaching staff to motivate the players to do better…

we should take advantage of QPR not being great and push on for a morale boosting win, but yet we’ve sat back for 40 minutes and that’s not the players’ choice surely?

let’s hope the 2nd half tactics change, although I’m not holding my breath… it’s so frustrating when you can clearly see we have decent players who we know have the ability, it just seems to be coached out of them

To be fair, the players are naturally going to do that
