It's fair. Many of our players play through various niggles and knocks; Kelly for many games last season. It just shows how good they are that it's not always evident to us fans that they are playing through injuries at times.

Sheffield Wednesday came at a shit time for us with a lot of players running on empty tanks I think. Will put it right in 2 weeks against them I hope!

Seems a ridiculously odd POV, and hill to die on, considering the performances he puts in. I think you can remove subjectiveness from that by looking at the stats as well, which back up that he’s exceptional at this level. Being subjective though, he’s brilliant and the best player I’ve seen in a Cov shirt since McSheffrey pre Brum move, perhaps.

For reference he did a 30km at 4:55 pace (long run, but that's not particularly quick) and a 21km at 3:27 (I'd regard that as a quick pace for someone of his build / stature). He's 'Cal Ohare' on Strava, apologies I don't know how to link. There's a runner person on here who I'm sure would know more, but I was impressed at least.

I run a bit. That 21k is amazing for someone without specialist distance training; O'Hare is trained for consistent short bursts of speed over 90 minutes and not for a sustained half marathon at such an advanced tempo. Very, very impressive.

No chance is he running 21km at 3:27 pace - that’s like elite national level running

Seems quick to me, but not impossibly so for a younger person? I've never been an elite national level runner or professional sports person, but have managed 4 min km pace regularly in my 20s.

I think we have had plenty of better players than McSheffrey. King, Maddison, immediately spring to mind.

Nilsson was JUST before my time I’m afraid , but my best mate and his dad always go on about how he was total class

Nilsson was almost impeccable. Made one -and only one mistake in his entire SkyBlue career, treading on the ball in injury time of the replay at Bramhall Lane in 1998. It squeezed our under his foot and went fit a corner from which they equalised and went on to knock us out on penalties.

Thing that is hard to understand with Nilsson was he was in late 30’s by time he joined us and his legs had gone pace wise yet he was still absolute class. Amazing he didn’t spend his career at top top clubs. What I always remember about him was if there wasn’t a pass on he wouldnt just knock it anywhere he’d just keep the ball shield it and wait until there was

And for the record Brian Borrows was generally held to be incredibly unlucky not to have been capped by England. I dare say had he played for a different club especially one in London or the north west he might have been in the frame.

Just my view but I don't think Biamou looked fit today. Other times he's come on he hasn't hit the heights of that superb Rotherham performance and has struggled to impose himself on the game. Usually he will always bust a gut if nothing else but something hasn't seemed right of late.

Maybe he has been told he is leaving and feels a little deflated or maybe its an after effect of the acl

I did think that myself but he grew into the game last quarter and made the crucial tackle to give O’Hare the 1v1 and also put one on a plate for Hamer at the end after another great tackle. Think he just knew he couldn’t give it 100 playing that lone role for that long

I wonder if he has been instructed to reduce the chasing? I remember Robins saying that Godden or maybe it was McNulty needs to reduce his running and do so in more threatening areas. It makes sense when playing one up top. He did on a few occasions rob a player of the ball including the one at the byline which led to a late Hamer chance. The one area he hasn't been as effective since Rotherham is in the air.

Well I have just read some crazy things and I am not sure if people are being serious. First someone suggests O'Hare didn't play very well today. He was brilliant.

Then Grendal says O'Hare is better than Hamer. Now I rate O'Hare very highly but no way is he better than Hamer.

I'm not sure it matters which one is better. Both are good players.

Well Maddison was 18 and playing in league one, so it’s not really a comparison.
King was a good player no doubt, but no chance was he the best in the division when we had him, whereas McSheffrey was in that bracket.

Wow-you do really hold him in high regard. Not sure he was up there with the best in the division though-time to take the Sky Blue “one of our own” glasses off I think.

His last season with us he was undoubtedly one of the best players in the championship, Birmingham paid £4m for him which was quite a lot of money back then, that season he got something like 15 goals and 20 assists playing left wing and was voted in the EFL Championship team of the year.

He wasn't good enough and didn't have enough pace for the Premier League, but for 2 seasons he was right up there in the as one of the best wingers in the championship (2005-2007).
