Jeez. I pointed out that Sheaf needed to work on his retention and I apparently hate him.
Not only does he need to work on his retention, but I feel he tends to slow the game down too much, he needs to carry the ball quicker and generally ping it about quicker, I do rate him though, but he does frustrate at times.

You’re not allowed to say that. The stats show different - I’ve been schooled about that today.

Well he clearly is relevant. He played half of the match and was partly culpable for one of the goals. I say that as someone who rates Sheaf by the way, but he was poor last night on the whole.

I agree Sheaf's passing is better than Kelly's generally but I do feel Kelly is less prone to losing possession in dangerous areas. He tends to play more long aimless passes, which are not great but they are less likely to result in goals against us.

I said it was not relevant to the defeat - it wasn’t

Why are people talking about Ben sheaf who came on when we were 4-0 down 😂😂😂😂
It is slightly mental, this thread!

Maybe it was the sheer fear that he might come on that drove Clarke-Salter and Maatsen to be a total mess down the left? Maybe the slack marking and giving the ball away first half was because they felt sorry for Sheaf getting criticism and, in a show of solidarity, they decided they'd act like he's supposed to?

Or maybe... we were shit!

Really? If anything Sheaf should be playing further forward. He looks to me like he struggles when played too deep.

He reminds me of Walsh in that respect.
I agree at least if he does give the ball away he at least has someone behind him to cover, I think there is a player in there but does need to tidy his game up, he is good at passing when he is on it but maybe suffers a little with confidence being released from a 'big' club then in and out of the team here for one reason or another.
