In theory it's a nice idea. Problem is your back to what if what is suggested (rental deal/unencumbered freehold) isn't acceptable to one side.
I fear the reason no amicable result has been found is because there isn't one.
What we as fans consider reasonable isn't the same as what's best for the city or what's best for Joys investors.
But some kind of arbitrator/peacekeeper would be good. I'm surprised Tony Blair hasn't offered his services. Should be good practice for the Middle East.
Are you the person who keeps telling anybody SISU have loads of money and are building a new stadium any week soon. Well how many weeks is it?Think a few people who post regular threads on this site may be in for a huge shock in the coming weeks! PUSB
So, this arbitration thing...
What do we reckon?
Where has that come from??
The Ricoh may be worth £80M in your eyes, however CCFC could access all the revenues for much less then that, something that would intrigue me more.
No one particularly gives two hoots about a new Stadium, not even Sisu..

Are you saying sisu are LYING about a new stadium--I hadn't considered that.

Lol !!!
The Sisu disciples are getting desperate.
12 pages on forcing arbitration never going to happen !!!
Higgs have moved on so what are you proposing Sisu to buy ??
Or maybe the councils share of Acl that's unlikely to happen !
Maybe you should consider Sisu selling up !!!

Ah ha the ACL Apologist. Hiya!
Assuming you're talking about the Judicial Review then you're possibly not talking to me. I think the JR can't come soon enough - or are you thinking Sisu will lose?
I don't actually know why I'm responding to this post as the chances of you answering are almost nil.
So basically the reason people don't want any arbitration is because they hate Sisu. Is that about right?
SISU have said they are building a new stadium
they state they dont posture
they are announcing in 3 weeks the location
they have set up a comittee to discuss the fans view of the new stadium
they are down to 2 sites for the new stadium
they have released drawings of the new stadium
the FL are happy with the progress of the new stadium
why are we not listening to what SISU are telling us ?.

No. SISU should assess the value themselves. How much are they losing by not having a share in ACL? Years at Sixfields or the cost and difficulties building a stadium. They were offered a price of 5,5 million. Two years back at the Ricoh as opposed to sixfields would cover that. The Higgs share was 6,5 mil when the lease was 50 years.... Knock off 2 per cent per year gone and use that as a fair guide line for the offer.
I've never heard any of this stuff before. Thanks for sharing.

I bet you run a large business employing hundreds.
Not a large business and not hundreds, but you're on the right track.

You work in a factory and buy most of your clothes from Primark. Am I getting warmer?
I'd like to hear them.
I'd like to hear them.
Because a significant proportion of the fan base would never believe the arbiter could ever be "independent" given paul appletons performance as the administrator.....
Its a reason, maybe not a good one, but how Many would think it was a sisu stooge before we even started?
In which case it would make absolute sense for SISU to get behind a push for such a way forward, as it would justify the spouting off they'd be doing, and demonstrate it was indeed ACL/CCC who were being obstructive and not looking for a solution.
Until we have such a call, however, we have just words, where both sides claim to want resolution, but it's the nasty evil other 'side' who don't want it, honest guv.
But even if SISU were to ask for a resumption of talks which itself is extremely unlikely, then I expect that CCC will just say if your serious about talks then drop the JR, to which SISU will just say no. The relationship between the 2 parties have broken down beyond repair. The only contacts the 2 warring factions have is in court, there has been no meaningful dialogue for months and months, why would you suddenly expect any now. It is almost impossible to imagine anything happening pre June 10th.
To me CCC/ACL would sooner do a deal with the devil than SISU, and will do whatever it takes to avoid that outcome.

But unfortunately all the evidence is that it is already too late. Sometime you just have to accept it is just not meant to be.tbh it ain't sudden, I've banged on about this approach since it all started to seriously blow up
It's never too late to talk, someone just needs t pick up the phone and tell the other they love them before they're gone forever and the chance is missed.
tnh it's the most plausible reason yet given!
But then can't we show a lead in moving away from a culture of paranoia?
