Yes I have! As my son said you get sent off in Rugby for doing that type of challenge and it was stonewall penaltyThe one on Simms looked a definite one live. Anyone see it properly?
He didn't even want to give a 2nd yellow until Sheaf and grimes got on to him

Did you see the pen given to Middlesbrough, terrible decision. He didn't even want to give a 2nd yellow until Sheaf and grimes got on to him

I thought it was definitely a pen live, but having now watched it back it's 50:50 imo.The one on Simms looked a definite one live. Anyone see it properly?
But how many refs have we seen this season who would of bottled it?Madness how he's getting credit for giving styles a second yellowthere won't be a more blatant yellow all season.
Disgusting decision, blatant cheating by the borough player and the ref bought it, lock stock and barrel.Did you see the pen given to Middlesbrough, terrible decision.
Felt for Hull today shot from Swansea player hits their player around the face and ref gives handball and a pen.Disgusting decision, blatant cheating by the borough player and the ref bought it, lock stock and barrel.
The football league really need to do something about the standard of refereeing in the championship, it's just not up to standard, not fit for purpose.
That penalty decision could prove to be a massive decision for so many clubs. It's simply not good enough.
Although the red card could see the player banned for our game on Monday, with little time for an appeal, and the football league will be too cowardly to overturn the decision as to do so would admit that it was never a pen, and that result could have a huge bearing on both ends of the table.
To be fair they got away with a blatant one against us.Felt for Hull today shot from Swansea player hits their player around the face and ref gives handball and a pen.
Yes they did .To be fair they got away with a blatant one against us.
Haji grabbed the ball as he went down. Can I ask, as was in Block 11 and it was in the second half, what happened for the challenge on Haji in the area where he went down and the referee gave a free kick the other way?
I thought he gave it for simulation but didn't book Wright, at least that I saw. That was the one that stuck in my head as I was trying to work out what he gave.
Ahh, right....should it not be a yellow for that then?Haji grabbed the ball as he went down.
Didnt and still dont think it is, both players giving it. Its quite telling that Simms didnt protest that it wasnt a pen.The one on Simms looked a definite one live. Anyone see it properly?
Burnley do it all the time and others tbf.Ahh, right....should it not be a yellow for that then?
Simms did appeal for it. It should’ve been a pen. Both may have been giving it but Simms was favourite and in the way. It’s not just a nudge, he’s caught him high up.Didnt and still dont think it is, both players giving it. Its quite telling that Simms didnt protest that it wasnt a pen.
And the Haji one was 10000% not a pen but shouldnt have been a FK the other way
When the NHL was adding a second ref years ago, lots of people talked about how it would ruin the game and refs would call the same game differently. As soon as it was implemented, NOBODY complained about it. There's just too much going on not to add a second ref.Exactly what I thought. Looks fucking solid. To your point a ref in the stands or even in the video room but as "live support" instead of just VAR would be helpful. Like hey I saw that and think it looked a foul to me...without taking 5 minutes to VAR it.
Other sports have multiple refs on the pitch and it seems to work
Handball on the ground I thinkCan I ask, as was in Block 11 and it was in the second half, what happened for the challenge on Haji in the area where he went down and the referee gave a free kick the other way?

Dare I say it but as much as I hate it perhaps VAR is needed now in the Championship.Disgusting decision, blatant cheating by the borough player and the ref bought it, lock stock and barrel.

I definitely think refs need help with the big decisions, although I hate the long delays you get with VAR. But better a delay than a wrong decision I guess.Dare I say it but as much as I hate it perhaps VAR is needed now in the Championship.
with the referee decisions and performance weve seen this season something needs to be done.
imagine if Middlesborough now beat us last game to secure a playoff place when they should be two points less through pure cheating getting that penalty decision
They're not very good with the additional helpis it just me or are pl refs not very good when you take them out of the pl and away from var?
