Time wasting was absurd. Remember after the World Cup when they added a new rule and have now completely forgot about it?

Could have been 15+ with those rules in place.

Honestly I think bookings for time wasting do nothing cos no one ever gets sent off for two, so I’d be happy for the ref to do what he did today and totally ignore it if he’s then going to add it back at the end. 7 minutes today was a joke. Easily double figures, some of the worst time wasting all season.

buGuess that's why he played beyond 98 th mins. No matter how we play etc there seems to be people moaning about the ref here every single game.
I wonder why?

Perhaps it is because they are shit. At one point today everyone, home and away fans, were suggesting that he didn’t know what he was doing / wasn’t fit to be a referee. Gotta be pretty bad for that to happen.

What on earth was the yellow for BTA for, he was kicked on the foot. Perhaps not a penalty but certainly not simulation.

On the TV replay, it looked like a penalty to me.

Definitely shouldn't have been a booking. That was ridiculous.

Really need VAR in the championship and something need to be done about goalies time wasting and tactically faking injury. There was obviously fuck all wrong with him, his next kick seemed painless..

Was there any actual evidence that just playing on was causing serious injuries to players?

Seems like half of this would be stopped if we just carried on around them. If the keeper is injured you can sub him.

The ref stopped us from taking a set piece cos their player was pulling their socks up today!

What annoys me more than anything is that all their players opt to go down and celebrate in front of their fans - then the ref waits until everyone is back in position and of course they walk - he should kick off immediately the scoring team is over the line - that would sort the time wasting 😡

For goalies, six second rule should be strictly enforced. Red cards for second offences. Wouldn’t be many, they would soon learn.

Should go back to taking goal kicks from the side the ball left the field of play. They take an age to decide which side to take it from.

“Injured” goalie, take them off the field and have an outfield player put straight in goal.

Doesn't even need to be 6.

Make it 15 but enforce it properly.

The Sheffield keeper constantly held onto the ball for near 30 seconds a time.

I asked my lad if it’s spoken about in development days for promotion and it’s not

Most goal kicks tonight took 40seconds out the hand 25seconds

Can’t be right

Hope not. Stop the watch and make them actually play for a full 90.
No way. The ball is in play for roughly one hour, so stopping the clock and making it 60mins is fair.

Plus imagine how long some games would go on for if you stopped the clock and played 90minutes?

Winds me up that so many rules aren't enforced and everyone in the ground but the officials seem to be able to work out what is going on.

Yep used to be
Found it again
Why oh why has it been decided to just ignore certain laws

An indirect free kick is awarded if a goalkeeper, inside their penalty area, commits any of the following offences:
• controls the ball with the hand/arm for more than six seconds before releasing it

I would just like to hear Pep moaning about his players having to play the full time proscribed in the laws of the game.

He was going on about his team playing twenty more games than the run of the mill Prem team. Don’t go on all these preseason jaunts / enter meaningless world club competitions. Go back to Champions League being for Champions, and not be a league but a knock out competition. Better still, fuck off and play in a European super league with a load of other financial cheats.
