Blame the ref and Lino as much as you want. Stats don’t lie. Robins thank you but you’ve taken us a far as you can.

Did BTA get to the ball first and was it a pen right at the death because from my position he did and the ref bottled it.

We must think these refs are worse than Robins as he never mentions them after match I would be all over it complaining letters being sent in to make sure you don’t keep getting these fools every week.

The referee today was tragically bad. A positive was, he literally gave every niggly foul, regardless of the team. Negatives, in the first half, he booked Bidwell, Sheaf and Eccles but did not yellow card similar challenges by Wednesday in the second half.

Every time Beadle time wasted, he warned him, never brandishing a yellow card, looked a stonewall red card for the high challenge on Bidwell, did not give the penalty for the shove off the ball on BTA and let Wednesday dictate the pace of the game.

As always, I try to turn my focus away from referees, as I do today as I thought we were below par, but they do not help. The referee let the game get away from him and his performance was shocking.

But no doubt he will be back here in a few weeks making the same mistakes.

One is his weaknesses. Too kind. It runs off on the players who don't ever have a word with the referee.

The disallowed goal aside, as that was just emphatically and fundamentally the wrong decision, I have to comment on the referee's performance.

Again, I must stress, we lost the game today as we yet again missed chances and conceded an incredibly soft goal after failing to deal with the second phase of play (although Dovin did save us once or twice in the first half).

Is there a new directive where the referee should give a foul when a player goes down EVERY TIME? It's not a case of one referee let's everything go one game and another gives everything the next. Every week a player goes down and referee gives a foul. It's got to be, no other explanation.

Remember when we had leaders on the pitch , Doyler , Mcfadz etc that use to be in the refs ear . We are too soft , pure & simple !

The issue for me is that we don’t have seasoned pros and have a very young squad compared to other clubs. King needs to understand we need players with experience as well as those who’ll make him a profit.

Do referees ever look back at the game they have just officiated? I guess most do not. Yesterday's performance from the ref was so bad. The lack of consistency was baffling. One example where DaSilva was clearly being pulled back from reaching the ball in the left wing position. Then Sakamoto was penalised for the exact same thing. One example of many.

Many things he did made no sense.

Bassette would have his shirt pulled, nothing given.

Obstruction? Never heard of it except for standing right in central midfield and getting in the way of passes.

Soft fouls given in any case where it benefits the defender, ignored when they don’t.

Handball given first half, contact was made comfortably inside the box, no penalty?

Disallowing a goal for a handball apparently made 5-10 seconds before it goes in, but only when the ball’s in the back of the net.

Dreadful performance.

In fairness to Eccles, he does this.

I posted this on another thread but I purposely watched the players at full time whistle to see how they would treat the ref, and most of them didn't shake his hand, with Binks going straight over to him to seemingly have a go. It's not something I've looked at before so maybe it's normal when you think a ref has been dreadful/biased, but if it's an isolated event then it speaks volumes.

No-another pansy I’m afraid. Summed up last week against Sheff Wed where he should have taken a second yellow card that would have undoubtedly secured a point. All too nice.
