Go past the place a lot and just wondered on everyones thoughts.

Is it just me or does the place look a bit tired and rank?

The blue facade is caked in shit. The general appearance of it looks like its been there 35 years not 15.

Cracks all round the outside like its subsiding also. The tarmac in the car parks have got more potholes than allesley old road also.

Dont get me wrong id like to return, but i cant think of any other 'new' stadium that looks as bad as the Ricoh.

Was at the king power a year or so back, spotless. St Marys at Southampton, the same. And even the stadium of light in Blunderland that is 10 years older looks in a way better state.

Intentional neglect from the insects possibly?

Someone posted some recent pictures on Facebook a week or so ago. Did look very dilapidated. The white polls like slightly rusty and place needs a good paint and jet wash.

The Birds Nest stadium in Beijing was looking shabby within 2 or 3 years of the 2008 Olympics
Unfortunately typical of many Chinese buildings thrown up in recent years

Wasps posted a pic of the pitch today. Looks ok. But doesn't look that flat. Looks like it dips behind the closest posts.

Its not been cut very well

perhaps the insects should be doing upkeep on their £51m investment to keep the value up?? why don't the Council tell them to repaint it as freeholders, like they would any other of their tenants.

I remember thinking at the first game that it will be great when they finish it. Turns out it was already finished. A 10ft high fake brick wall with some plastic and exposed metalwork is a shit look that runs around most of the exterior.

ACL prior to Wasps did the absolute minimum they could in terms of maintenance and it seems nothing has changing since Wasps have been here. Used to annoy me how shabby it looked for a new stadium. Even simple things like they changed some of the signage by the turnstiles and instead of taking the old ones down (they were only big stickers) giving it a coat of paint and putting the new ones up they slapped the new, smaller, signs over the top of the old ones. Looked shit and started peeling off immediately. From day one there's been no attention to detail with anything.

Probably needs to a fair bit of money to bring it back up to standard. Usually with these things you save a few quid short term but end up paying more long term.

This is the thing. Didnt even do anything to tart it up for the major concerts that have been there. The concourse area for example has always looked half finished

It's looked a bit tired for a few years - light colours esp show it up. Just needs a thorough clean, but won't get one.

Which tenants have they told to repaint their buildings?
