Done deal with Lampard.
I wanted Mark Robins to stay for the exact reason we are going on about now where nobody can come up with a decent alternative that isn’t totally unrealistic (e.g. potter/Moyes), a complete failure (e.g. Lampard, Carsley) or completely unproven (e.g. Bloomfield, Sheehan)
Lampard isn’t a failure, loads of managers underachieved at Chelsea after spending millionsI get you wanted him to stay. But he’s gone.
