Would this guy even be on our radar?
How would Austin/King/Roberts be aware of him!? (How are you even aware of him!?)
Steve Bruce?Well if they’re employed that’s probably a good reason why they’re not being mentioned! Also, do they have a record of being good at this level, or have they just been good with a club.
Rob Edwards @ Luton, a great season with a team he inherited, which is now struggling, but didn’t work at Watford.
Russell Martin didn’t reach the play offs with Swansea for 2 seasons, did well with Southampton but they have a good team.
For me, a record would be with a couple of clubs across a number of seasons
interesting that we are talking about either big names with limited to no experience of managing in and / or getting out of the Championship (other than, tenuously, Lampard), OR lower league managers unproven at this level, but there’s little to no mention of anybody who has any real recent record of managing in our league and getting teams out of it…..
This is why it was plainly ridiculous to get rid of MR so early in the season. Nobody we bring in will be as qualified as he was to take us forward. We are basically relying on DK getting lucky with the next man he brings in.
I can't remember if you were one of the people wanting him out or not, but it is frankly ironic that some of those posters who did, are now calling out any likely candidate as underwhelming or not up to it.

Graham potter was never going to happen in a million yearsI was on the fence, and I am pretty much the same about Lampard - I wouldn’t say underwhelming or not up to it, but I think for instance Graham Potter or someone of that ilk would have made a massive statement of intent
for every Rooney there’s a Kompany or a Carrick though, and actually Lampard’s win ratio was pretty impressive across Derby and his first couple of years spell at Chelsea so who knows….
Robins has never got a team promoted from this division either, and that isn't the defining criteria that King is saying he's going to use anyway.
Graham potter was never going to happen in a million years
Intent or delusionmaybe, maybe not, and I said him or similar - point being if DK went all out for someone like that it would show all out intent
Intent or delusion
He was just on £200,000 a week (ended last month) and turned down Leicester in the summer.I’m not sure many would say appointing Potter would’ve been delusional
No approaching him would be. He’d laugh us out the roomI’m not sure many would say appointing Potter would’ve been delusional

Yeah I wouldn’t.I think you’d be surprised
Potter has never been promoted or even reached the play offs in this division. Brighton finished higher after he'd left! He won 12 games in the season they finished 9th with 51 points. Cov got more than that under Strachan in 1998. He's probably the most overrated manager in the game, pure vibes.
I think that it is clear to see that there is no such use of any analytical data!... Sadly....I'm late to respond to this. But I know him because I'm an American who watches more MLS than any other league. Also, I'm within the MLS media sphere.
As mentioned by the other, I am not sure how King is conducting the search. But if he is using any sort of analytics-based firm, then Nancy's name absolutely would pop up as a top candidate.
Brighton aside I’m not sure i see much evidence of clubs hiring managers based on data.I think that it is clear to see that there is no such use of any analytical data!... Sadly....
Robins total managerial performance in the championship is bang average. It’s not even good, let alone the sort of track record that would give any owner a high degree of confidence that he would get your club promoted to the Premier League.
I think Mark has been brilliant for us by the way but that doesn’t mean i think he would have got us promoted.
How many seasons has Mark managed in the championship ? 8What?!
Comfortably survived with a newly promoted team on a shoestring budget, then improved year on gear to finish 12th and then 5th, a kick or two from the Premier league.
In what way is taking a club from newly promoted to touching distance of the PL on a relative pittance 'not even good'?
The revisionism from some about Robins' tenure is ridiculous.
Yes. Losing on penalties in the playoff final proves your point.Robins total managerial performance in the championship is bang average. I didn’t say it wasn’t possible for Robins to get us promoted, I think it may have been.Yes. Losing on penalties in the playoff final proves your point.
You said you think.I didn’t say it wasn’t possible for Robins to get us promoted, I think it may have been.
Im Saying his track record says it wasn’t probable.
Graham Potter has been spotted in the Hen Lane Superstore
Wonder how that lines up with player contracts,or legislation from Gov't?Damn Pep signed an extension at Man City…guess that means Doug won’t be unveiling him at the CBS on Saturday
Sort of thing I tend to do with wives. So what you’re saying is I want to replace robins, with a younger Robins?
Thought you’d be up for that
