I feel like a treacherous shit weasel even voicing this, and I‘m not saying I think this myself,

but…. Does anyone think MR may have reached his ceiling? It has gone through my mind previously that if he had took us up to Prem, would he have been the right calibre to keep us there. I think there is a doubt there and wonder whether Doug might be thinking “rip the plaster off now rather than inevitably later”? I was thinking about Sean Dyche and Burnley who had been manager for nearly 10 years, before Kompany took over…..

Careful @FergieTheFinisher your not allowed to be rational and logical on here.

You make a fair point. He might also have noted that Mark has not got a team promoted to the Premier League before.

DK might have noted that for 2 summer windows running we have recruited very heavily to suit one playing formation, only four Robins to change it 2 months this later.

I will forever be grateful for what’s Robins has achieved with our club, but I remain open minded about the next chapter for us.

My liver is trembling as I read these suggestions knowing I'll be late out of the pub and early into it if it's one of these buffoons.

My current stance, after being quite angry about it all in the moment yesterday is that, yes, I am gutted that Robins has left, and I personally wouldn’t have sacked him myself, but I do think there is a reasonable chance that a new man would be able to get more out of this squad than we’ve seen so far this season.

The big sticking point for me however is that that I have zero faith in the clubs hierarchy to make a decent appointment and fear that we could become a real mess on the pitch.

Who would work from your POV? Not fussed if they're especially realistic. Just trying to get my head around what people expect or feel would be the right fit.

A continental head coach with managerial experience but who suits the ‘head coach’ position

Finding a

Daniel Farke
Danny Rohl
Thorup

On the Yorkshire Evening Post's Leeds United podcast (Inside Elland Road) released yesterday, the YEP's chief writer said he'd spoken to Tony Mowbray recently and Mowbray said he'll start looking for a job in the new year.
