Right who's the next manager then? (3 Viewers)

I read an article on Watford that was saying that they hire managers to hit a specific target - once he does, they move on to the next target with another manager.

they go off the statistics show managers rarely go past 2 years anyway. So they work on that premise.
2 years? They rarely last 2 months at Watford. Shambles.

I suppose anyone working there knows what they’ve signed up for. As for CCFC, just because some clubs enjoy spending more on sacking managers than they do signing players, doesn’t mean we have to copy them.

Even though a couple of people on here said it's definitely RVN, from excellent sources?

"Ah fuck, it's Frank" could be the new City tagline and we can chant it every game.

If it's Lampard, it's Lampard. Doesn't instill me with any confidence at all, but nowt we can do about it. We just have to back him and the team and hope it works out for him.

Its so meh though (if correct) especially if its the case that its a vanity project by Doug based on the fact he is a name and Doug knows people who know him.

Everything that United source reported was confirmed by The Telegraph report today so he's probably pretty reliable.

If its Lampard just back him . So many on here dissing the appointment but solely doing that and not providing a constructive alternative. . But hey let's just criticise.

Don't rate Lampard but there's really nothing to suggest that RvN would be much better. The only thing he has over him is that he doesn't have those failures on his CV yet. Would've gone for Skubala or Selles personally

What does Skubala have over either of them

It’s about time we stopped looking at league 1 for players or coaches

Funny name.

The talk of both Skubala and Seles is weird. Neither statistically seem to have their sides playing in a way that would suit our squad…well, in fairness not entirely true of Selles as his team leaks goals.

I tell you what I find crazy. You have grown adults on here saying they don't want a manager who will do well because he'll leave first chance he gets

And then also saying they don't want a manager who plays good football because they don't think that style will keep us up in the prem

I mean fucking hell just focus on somehow getting promotion first will you???????
The problem is that a lot of people are saying that this season is a total write off and that the new manager would do well to finish 10th. So if we are appointing primarily looking at next season and you think the manager is likely to leave after 6 good months then what is the point in appointing them?

Not a big chance that someone's gonna leave after 6 months though is there?

Honestly, modern football that is about the standard no? Tbh though you are right that it shouldn't be considered a major factor. You want someone invested in the long term but there is no guarantee anyone will stay.

I got a little over-excited last night. I'll be fine with whoever. Out of RvN and Lamps obviously the latter has the greater successes but also the greater failures. Jury is out on both for me but let's hope they can prove themselves with us. 😬
