Then we will agree to disagree.Thats fair
Obviously its something we will just have to disagree on. I just think that even at the executive level, the decision makers are human beings who are trying to make decisions based on all the information available to them.
That's Lampard fucked then.Thats fair

Don't think you're going to have much luck telling players of the current generation to stay off the internet and social mediaI can accept that players and other staff might look on here or other social media, see negative comments about them and be affected by them. My advice to them would be not to go looking after a bad result because you will invariably find reactionary comments you won't want to see.
We will never get an answer to this but I'd love to know. I can't really remember a manager sacking that has been so universally condemned.I’ll bet the strength of feeling about his decision has taken King aback a bit

Mangers, players, pundits, journalists, even supporters of other clubs, all queueing up to say the owner is clueless and Robins shouldn't have been sacked.
It appears King likes the spotlight, he certainly seems to enjoy having his song sung, puts himself in promo videos, puts himself in the team photo, is on local and national media at any opportunity. Would love to know how he felt when the travelling fans were chanting 'Doug King is a wanker' yesterday.
Even his brother who couldn't go 5 minutes without tweeting about us has gone silent.
But the universe didn't watch us lose to poor sides like Norwich , Swansea,We will never get an answer to this but I'd love to know. I can't really remember a manager sacking that has been so universally condemned.

Apparently Australia are going to ban schoolchildren from using social media.Don't think you're going to have much luck telling players of the current generation to stay off the internet and social media
Grendel is an attention seeking one off moron ignored by most. A figure of derision and clueless on football. Proved by demand to sack one of our most successful managers for about 4 years.Managers are not sacked based on some people grumbling on an internet forum. Grendel released his annual ‘sack Robins’ thread last year at a similar time, and there were a few others supporting him then too.
Why was he sacked now and not then?
Got the Sheff Utd Sheff Wed game on, Wilder club legend 2nd spell as manager. Never say never but Robins maybe back one day in some role or other. Never say never, he might realise after a month that he actually needed a break

This time round it was different the polls were appearing after every result - and the usual hysteria after a defeat was being ramped up. You by the way are one of the prime candidate for hysterics.
Many factors in the decision to let Robins go - at a minimum destabilizing the manager and the club at every opportunity on a fans site - simply not helpful and damaging.
Im sure King fully expected the backlash but saw it as a necessary gamble for the 5 year plan. It's obvious that King doesn’t take advice from randoms on the internet. But he doesn’t exist in a vacuum either, and if the tub-thumping about sacking Robins wasn’t intended to create an atmosphere around the club or have the slightest influence on anyone, why do it? I’ll bet the strength of feeling about his decision has taken King aback a bit, because people who wanted Robins to stay weren’t banging on about it all the time.
Anyway, whilst the treatment of Robins has been very poor, I think the talk of grief is way over the top. I will be supporting the next manager like I always do. We don’t know whether King has got this right, but I sure hope he has. FWIW the appointment of Lampard would give me an injection of that hope, which is what football fans live on.
Well they obviously look somewhere otherwise doug wouldn't have done U-turns on several things already based off fan backlashWhen we say its nonsense are we saying that:
A) Nobody from the club looks at the forum at all, so it can't have any impact
Or
B) Staff within the club do look on here but completely disregard everything they read
?
Don't think you're going to have much luck telling players of the current generation to stay off the internet and social media
A prime candidate for hysterics who didn’t call for the manager to go at any point. Of course.Grendel is an attention seeking one off moron ignored by most. A figure of derision and clueless on football. Proved by demand to sack one of our most successful managers for about 4 years.

I know, he maybe back for a 3rd in some way or anotherThat was robins second spell?
Im sure King fully expected the backlash but saw it as a necessary gamble for the 5 year plan.
He could have anywayProbably. He can strike this year off.
I don’t think he’d come back to this setup. And Doug.
Didn’t realize we had so many fans in AustraliaApparently Australia are going to ban schoolchildren from using social media.
Same was said last time.
100%Well they obviously look somewhere otherwise doug wouldn't have done U-turns on several things already based off fan backlash
Didn't say he was, just what was said about the owners at the timeHe wasn't sacked last time
I don't agree with the 95% - fine margins in this division. He was sacked because we were shit 95% of the time this season. Not because of posts on a forum
I will not embarrass you by replaying some of your most hysterical texts including on the day of Robins' dismissal.A prime candidate for hysterics who didn’t call for the manager to go at any point. Of course.
Think abt the Forest owner.I will not embarrass you by replaying some of your most hysterical texts including on the day of Robins' dismissal.
Not so sure about that. A couple of canny additions in January, and who knows?Probably. He can strike this year off.
We definitely weren’t. We’ve only been really outplayed once, and if you threw the dice again in all those tight games we might easily have been close to the playoffs. He was sacked because we were shit 95% of the time this season. Not because of posts on a forum
Only outplayed once? That's nearly as delusional as thinking king saw some posts and sacked him.We definitely weren’t. We’ve only been really outplayed once, and if you threw the dice again in all those tight games we might easily have been close to the playoffs.
This is the main fans forum, and I’m surprised you don’t think it has any influence on the atmosphere around the club. At recent events former players have expressed dismay about the effect of online negativity. Multiple strongly worded calls for Robins to be sacked cannot possibly have done anything but damage, surely it’s only a question of how much?
Anyway although this feels like a big gamble by King, I’ll be behind the new coach whoever they are.

But 'we were shit 95% of the time'?Only outplayed once? That's nearly as delusional as thinking king saw some posts and sacked him.
Certainly more often than that, but not 95% of the time.We definitely weren’t. We’ve only been really outplayed once
You always bring such balance BSBCertainly more often than that, but not 95% of the time.
