Who now he’s fit everyone is saying should start next game?

The whole plan was Walker and Godden, but the latter looks still miles off what he was. Keep getting the minutes into him and swap for Gyo if he tires.

Strangely (and you may disagree), I think he’s adapted very well season-to-season and has developed his ideas/formations to suit. This hasn’t really happened this season and whilst I do think a back 3 leads to our best play, the fact he evidently doesn’t know what the best starting lineup is and how to get the best out of the system at this level is a concern.
To be fair to him he adjusted the way we play part way through the season and tightened up the defence, the problem is generally improved defensive solidity has come at the cost of any attacking impetus.

Goals breed confidence and we've not scored many, we've got players in midfield like James and Hamer who are hiding from the defenders when they're looking for a pass out of defence, clearly lacking confidence.

Having said all that, if that French clown had buried the gilt edged chances in successive games we'd be feeling far more positive than this.

It can't be the same as he's never been relegated in this league with Huddersfield or Barnsley , so his record at this "level" is obviously better

Im talking about for us

We don't know what the owners have promised him if we stay up..they may be offering to double the wage bill so we can match the mighty Barnsley in wages to compete a bit more
If they give him 10million, would you really trust him? He has NEVER succeeded in the championship. If we can't offer players sentiment, why should we offer it a manager?

Ofcourse I'd trust him with more money for wages and transfers

Even if they gave him another 10 million for wages alone we'd still not be on par with the average wage bill in this league

Robins won’t be going anywhere. Our owners just want a disciple who worships at the Sisu temple. Robins ticks the box

Not a chance his signings have been weak the foreign ones are atrocious

If he’s had more money we know from rumours he’d have been looking at players like Panzo at CB and a new GK, who knows what else?

The fact is the team we put out yesterday isn’t much changed from the one we put out in L1:

Marosi - Marosi
Dacosta - Dabo (downgrade)
Rose - Rose
McFadz - Østigård (upgrade?)
Hyam - Hyam
McCallum - McCallum
Hamer - Walsh (downgrade on current form)
James - Kelly (slight upgrade?)
Shipley - Shipley
Allen - Allen
Godden - Godden

Not so sure about that myself. Robins may publicly give the impression that he's pro SISU but he's not stupid. I don't believe for one minute that he genuinely believes that SISU have or ever will give him the squad he needs to succeed in the Championship.

Well I mean we've been promoted spent a couple of million ontop of an already pitifully small budget for this league ...were you expecting them all to be Diego Maradona

I'd expect him to get the best out of his players. Do you think he is good at that?!?!

You don’t know what the budget is and by definition clubs like Sunderland and Ipswich had collosal budgets in league one and we and Wycombe finished above them.

Really some people do struggle with basic economics and I'm supposed to be the thick one .

Coventry offering players let's say 4-8k a week to come and play football in the championship , the average championship wage is pushing 20k a week , better players demand higher wages , your only hope is to try and find hidden gems on low wages and shock horror some don't work out .

More money , easier to bring in proven quality , easier ro survive .

Pretty simple logic

And £4-£8K is top end of our budget,

So if you are a manager whose inherited players on large contracts from a previous manager and have no money to spend on new players have you a bigger budget than someone who can spend £2.5m on new players in the close season?

You don’t know what the budget is and by definition clubs like Sunderland and Ipswich had collosal budgets in league one and we and Wycombe finished above them.

This was explained by using Derby and Sheffield Wednesday as examples .

Both clubs were higher up pushing promotion , had certain players on massive wages ...had to reduce budget based on failure , built around high earners with lower quality low earners = high wage bill but less quality ..all the teams mentioned have reduced their wage bills considerably including Sunderland

Sundeland entered the league with a £40m wage bill so that’s a big budget isn’t it?

It really shows how poor our recruitment has been this season.
