As I finished my third course and fourth beer, I really didn't know who I wanted to win that argument...😅

Incredible is a good way to put it - we had one of the easiest roads to the semi-final you could ever imagine. It takes on outsize importance because of those Wolves and Man Utd games (one of which we still lost!) and we’ll all wear it as a badge of honour, but you can’t use it to say last season was a success or that it proved much about Robins’ abilities.
Here we go again. It's nuts

We had an easy path in the cup, Middlesbrough only had 10.men, it wasn't that we were good, it was that Luton were crap, we've been bad for the last 6 months , 7 months, 12 months, 18 months etc. etc.

Why can't we just move on without trying to pick apart Robins" legacy?

I find it all a little distasteful.

Let's just back the new manager and focus on the future to come.

I thought last season was fun, but by the standards and expectation king set for the league it was by definition a failure.

Again, I’m a huge fan of Robins and his legacy speaks for itself. But his legacy isn’t defined by a cup run, especially one where precisely one of the games we won was a match you wouldn’t fancy us to win.

Northampton Town job is available, would Robins drop down to league one?

Go on. Who cost more than say £500k and was a failure other than Walker?

Bit late to this, but it got me thinking. There’s a decent handful of players that Robins chased and chased - Walker being one of them - and then when he had them for whatever reason didn’t utilise them particularly well. Kitching is another that we know of, and from the fans forum the talk that Wilson-Esbrand was a specific player Robins wanted surprised me. What’s up with that?

Hull have the Reading manager lined up , ..Robins has never proved himself managing another club apart from us.

I'm fairness happens at all clubs , players sign managers don't like them as much as anticipated

Chaplin who is currently playing PL football, that Chaplin?

The lengths people are going to to downplay everything from the last eight years. Do I need to dig out all the article praising our recruitment over the years?
The post was about good players he bought that he didn't get the best out of. Chaplin is a good example, no criticism of Robins in that he has an eye for a player but it doesn't always work out.

It’s actually this kind of thing that makes me think he may make a decent DoF (yes, there is some slight romanticism!). Feel like he wants to play a more attacking style of football than he’s actually comfortable with and reverts to conservative football too easily.

I hope Lampard and his coaching team will find somewhere much closer than Belper which is an hours drive away!

I mean he scored a goal every 260 mins over 30 games for us.

To be fair, we made money on Chaplin and then used his fee to buy Godden who got us promoted and went on to be one of our record goalscorers of all time (5th).

Selling Chaplin for Godden was good business for the way we played.
