The irony is that people who have been relentless over and over about "Mark" and acting like he's died think others are "losing it"

Maybe in a couple of months and some self reflection there will be a bit of normality.

The second Robins even gets mentioned you just know that the inane ramblings & paranoid attempts to shut it all down will soon start

Away from whatever side people are on in regards to the whole robins leaving

I think some people are obviously more sentimental than others and for many of us that travelled alot with the city over the last 8 years we've had a great time under mark and some of us have been proper gutted by the sacking

Telling people to get over something and move on isn't going to make people go

"yea fuck robins let's move on and never talk about him again "

Some people still aren't happy about the decision and that's fine, some people moved on immediately that's fine too .

He's at stoke now and that's that , we now have lampard and have to back him because ultimately ccfc is the thing we all care about most

How come he's managed to get 2 really decent assistants in at Stoke, yet we couldn't find anyone good to come here??
sounds like our illustrious leader has scored the mother of all own goals in sacking MR, and spreading b/s thickly to hide it.

Finally a post that is of some value. Dickhead Doug lied about what went on this summer, thinking the compensation and NDA with Robins meant he could come up with whatever lie he wanted.

Robins has got two assistants that are significantly better than any of the bags of shit that walked in the door following AV’s exit. Usually managers take their coaches with them when they leave, why didn’t Dempster, Delaney etc go with Robins and why isn’t he touching them with a shitty stick now?

The PL dream has gone. There’s more chance of us going to League 1 than the PL. We have sold out a winning formula for Doug the Cunts ego and a name.

People saying move on, we’ve gone from an Aston Martin to a Citroen Berlingo and still expect the same velocity.

Lampard has fuck all on Robins as a manager.

Doug saying all the number 2s wanted to be head coaches is surely the 1 thing he says that tells everybody that he's being somewhat dishonest in some of the story atleast .. otherwise I've got some Nigerian shares to sell you

Many reasons.

He's had additional time but also, more importantly, the Coates family earn more money in 10 minutes than Doug earns in a year.

Cheap shot mate - and it's nothing like that as you know.

I could just as well say that your uncritical defence of King in this is like the girl who cries "he only hits me 'cos he loves me."

An equally crappy and pointless thing to say though, in truth.

Why not just accept that a lot of people here like Robins and still do, and are interested in how straight our owner has been about it all.

If you're not interested in that because you got what you wanted regardless, absolutely fair enough - no need to chuck in the snarky bollocks though.

King isn’t an idiot and wouldn’t have lied his way through the press conference. Robins would also certainly have been able to sue him if he had done.

Big difference between being able to sue and actually doing it, and that's largely down to how much you want to line the capacious pockets of lawyers. Unless you've got substantial funds yourself, it"s not worth taking legal action over a few fibs.

Nicks discount Grendel act has been hilarious to watch for the last couple of months because bless him he's just not bright enough to pull it off without looking like an idiot. The meltdown in this thread is special, though. More projection than the Odeon.

I think much of what Doug said in that forum was rambling mate. Emotions were clearly high after he'd spend the week being abused from all corners of the fan base, media and wider football world.

That's not to say there isn't truth in a lot of what he says but the more I reflect on it, the more he was ranting.

Anyone in that situation would be.

What would happen then?

There is a difference between not saying something though and owning it.

He could have said something evasive. He outright said 'they are my appointments'. If you would do that at your job fair enough, but I don't think everyone would back every decision in public 100% especially not a manager with so much power and sway with the fan base.

Wouldn’t be surprised if Robins kicked on with Stoke, but Robins and Coventry were not progressing and if anything going backwards. The partnership needed to be broken for the sake of both parties in my opinion.

The mad thing is, I was pissed off for about 3 days then posted on here that on balance I thought it was the right think to do, and the more I've thought about it I'm even more convinced it was.

My beef has been more with the way King went about it and some of the bollocks he's spouted and the way he threw Robins under the bus at the press conference, thought he deserved more respect.

But it was always going to be a controversial after 7 or 8 years.

Lampard wouldn't have been my choice but I'm behind him and I've warmed to him.
Doing OK so far and had bad luck with 2 key injuries.
Only gripe is he never dropped Collins sooner (and probably Dasilva) but he gave them a fair chance but something had to change after Portsmouth and 2 clean sheets since then is hopefully the start of us being better defensively.

Why would he need to sue though.

Mark sets out a personal statement saying it’s bollocks and all of Doug’s support would melt away.

Seeing how important he viewed it that he explained it to avoid less attendance and get people back on side, why would he risk it?

I kinda get why he'd stick with the keeper currently in the position after so much pissing about. It's really not a position you want to piss about with and something that always got on my tits.
Pompey away was the excuse needed to get Dovin in and I would think/hope he's there to stay.
