Robins to Stoke ? (8 Viewers)

Pretty sure there wont be any legals. He'll have had a handsome payout and even if King has lied about the things some of us think he has it hardly anything scandalous.

Not sure about Viveash though, given he made his parting statement through a solicitor.
King isn’t an idiot and wouldn’t have lied his way through the press conference. Robins would also certainly have been able to sue him if he had done.

As i said further up, I think he'd have to be bloody awful not to last until the summer and I don't see that happening. Assuming he makes it there they will make plenty of funds available to him. It is a good job for someone to get their teeth into but you have to be wary that their owners are even more trigger happy than our own Deadly Doug. If he had a similar start to what we had this season, the outcome would be the same.
And they also have decent facilities aswell in fairness putting 25 million into the training ground recently

The thing is given the chance and their finances there is every chance stoke slowly become a top half regular in the championship now and with that also comes the chance of finishing in the playoffs .
It wasn’t that long ago they were in the PL, so it wouldn’t be a surprise.

Yes indeed, it's a club that should be challenging but keeps getting things badly wrong on the pitch. They have some really good players but given the spend you'd have to say the recruitment has been a touch dodgy. Where have I heard that before?

He definitely lied in that press conference. No 2 ways about it.
Unless you believe all those who applied to be an assistant actually wanted to be the Head Coach.
Then after that we couldn't find a head coach among those interviewed for the position even though hed previously said thats what everyone was after! .
And that we have the fittest squad we've ever had even though Lampard contradicted that.

And Carr definitely wasn't a Robins choice.

There's definitely some bullshit in there, but are you going to go to court over it?
Especially when you've had, and this is only what I've read reported, a 750k payout and probably signed an NDA?

I suspect an NDA was signed as part of the final settlement or gardening leave agreement.

Even if not, I doubt Robins worries too much about what Doug said or says. Within the game his reputation is clearly robust, Robins wouldn't gain much by an unseemly spat with a former employer.

The talk of suing people was nonsense, was never going to happen.

Its all after the main event, (the fall out), really isn't it
I think Robins knew it was coming to an end.
It's worked out OK for him.
Hopefully works out OK for us as we'll.

Finally a post that is of some value. Dickhead Doug lied about what went on this summer, thinking the compensation and NDA with Robins meant he could come up with whatever lie he wanted.

Robins has got two assistants that are significantly better than any of the bags of shit that walked in the door following AV’s exit. Usually managers take their coaches with them when they leave, why didn’t Dempster, Delaney etc go with Robins and why isn’t he touching them with a shitty stick now?

The PL dream has gone. There’s more chance of us going to League 1 than the PL. We have sold out a winning formula for Doug the Cunts ego and a name.

People saying move on, we’ve gone from an Aston Martin to a Citroen Berlingo and still expect the same velocity.

Lampard has fuck all on Robins as a manager.

Absolutely , his legacy is intact and he's financially sound

Oh, I sound like someone missing his ex?
Really?
Strange take.
I see the King criticism is getting to you.

You might want to check my posting history. I was posting about the love in being embarrassing while everybody else was singing that pathetic song about him and trying to climb in him.

Nice try though. Might do a bit better when you get over your loss.

My loss?! OK.

Wonder who'll be closest to the Britannia when Robins makes his debut Saturday?

Nevin was who Robins wanted as his Number 2

Doug said no. There's a reason Delaney and Dempster were promoted, it saved money

Also it speaks volumes Robins hasn't tried to get any of the coaching set up 'he' put in place, even though 1 of them in Boateng is currently unemployed.

It's staring people in the face and they don't want to believe it

Doug was truthful with Robins saying he can't work with Adi anymore. Doug was truthful that he tried to work it out between them.

He wasn't truthful with the bullshit about the number 2 'not coming across his desk'. It did

Also, i was told before the Preston game on October 19th Doug wanted Lampard. As we're a few others

The second Adi went and Robins was last man standing from the old regime, Doug knew he was giving him the boot and putting in who he wanted
Hmm... interesting. I think the fact that we did at least advertise for a first team coach supports the idea that Robins was still in his plans at the beginning of the season. It is notable however that by his own admttion Robins had been badgering Doug about making a change since March and Doug left it until pre season before he finally sacked him (a decision which he would then totally wash his hands of). In hindsight it would have been much more sensible to do it at the end of last season.

People made a lot over Robins' name being a footnote on the boateng appointment. Ultimately not sure I care either way on that one - for me the team was doing alright despite some key injuries and against Luton/Boro we looked back to our imperious best. Defence was clearly a little short but didn't really fall apart after he left. We had a bad end to the transfer window and Robins/the team were clearly feeling the strain of expectations placed on them from above but... we move on.

I wish Robins all the best at Stoke but today is all about Cardiff...

Imagine getting angry about people talking about Mark Robins in a thread about Mark Robins.

It is amusing to see a few losing it over his appointment.

If i remember correctly he wasn't good enough to get another job in the Championship because all our success was down to Adi.

The irony is that people who have been relentless over and over about "Mark" and acting like he's died think others are "losing it" 🤣🤣🤣

Maybe in a couple of months and some self reflection there will be a bit of normality.
