I think one of Robins’ strengths over the course of time (with us, at least) has been surrounding himself with the right people. Seems that has been taken out of his hands now, which will make things understandably more difficult.

Tactically he isn’t the best and a lot of our success in terms of playing style has almost been accidental, when a key player has got injured. He’s been very good at getting the squad mentality right over the course of time but I feel like we’re starting to see some of his deficiencies come to the fore. In fairness, as alluded to, some of those have been due to lost influence.
I think Robins’s main strength is creating a siege mentality and then dragging out the extra 10% out of limited players.

since he’s been backed there’s very few players that have gone on to better after us. There’s obviously the none limited players - Gyokeres, Hamer, O’Hare - who will have top careers - but other than Chaplin they’ve all rapidly declined

Nothing to do with the result. I honestly can’t remember such a gutless performance at home under Robins. I’m not sure pointing to the lowest point of the club in 70 odd years as a comparator is much of a defence tbh.
