Thats why it's so critical that we follow up this giant killing with beating Exeter on their own mud heap as it would cement 3rd place for us and then delaying the Wycombe game is not so bad

When will the next round be played? Won’t it be after the window shuts anyway so doesn’t effect Robins’ budget for promotion if we win / lose

Would have a couple of days to spare - but it would be difficult to wait for 5th round draw Mon 30th (game on 27th/28th) to juggle with an adjusted budget allocation and sort out negotiations with agent/player. You can hardly contact the player and say - can you wait and see if we win/who we get in the next round! All dealings will have to be based on the 4th round draw.

I would hope that if we drew a huge club away with a ticket pay off of £1m +, the club might just agree to spend some of the money before the tie.

I just hope with all this in mind we don’t take our eye of the ball when it comes to the League.

I keep thinking about the draw and every time I want something different, immediately after the game I wanted Villa, Leicester, Blues or Wolves..

Since then I’ve wanted a day out, away at Man Utd, Man City, Liverpool or similar..

Right now I want a winnable tie, which I think there are plenty of, Yeovil, MK Dons, Rochdale, Notts County and have a little cup run as a result..

We are potentially;

- Four games from Wembley.
- Four games from European Qualification.

My mind will change 500 times before the draw, I’ll update tomorrow night on what I want.

Depends, if it's Manure at Old Trafford that's a guaranteed 40K+ crowd with requisite income ..and if it's known that it will be televised that's another big wedge right there.

Finally what will be will be.. the main thing is to be in the draw.

Good chance it will be televised as we were giant killers if the against a prem side but Yeovil at home would do me

Praying for a Saturday 3pm game to be selfish, I know we'd miss out on any tv revenue but this a game time I like.

Worst case is a Friday night or Saturday lunch

As much as a big game would be good for getting the spotlight on the club, our main focus has to be the league.

Don’t mind a long cup run but not at the expense of league form.

The more I think about it the more I fancy Sheffield Wednesday at home, probably the nostalgia and a lot of our fan's have a soft spot for them.
I'm sure they would bring a full allocation and it could be a 25000 plus crowd.

Peterborough away. The odds surely favour us being drawn away - we have had 3 in a row at home. Therefore I want the most winnable away game. I think Posh are the lowest ranked team before us still left in. Replay, win at home then drawn again at home against a Prem side, going out with honour so we can concentrate on promotion. Something like that

I think United may require ST holders to buy cup tickets, (used to be that way). So even if there are only 40,000 attendees the gate receipts will still be that of a 75,000 crowd.

Your correct on one thing the law of averages point is to being drawn away however Peterborough are a side to avoid and have goals a plenty in them and disposed of villa at villa.

There are still plenty other L2 sides and L1 clubs below Peterborough in the league still in the cup.

Newport, Notts county, Yeovil. Carlise Mansfield and Stevenage have replays to get through too so are still in the hat. With MK Dons, Rochdale and Fleetwood who are narrowly in the hat too.

I’d like away to one of the big boys. Something that’s going to boost our coffers ahead of next season. We’re unlikely to go much further in the cup but if we do get promoted MR is going to need all the help he can get next season with the budget. Let’s face it, the budget will be down to us and windfalls, whether that be Maddison sell on bonus or cup draw windfall. One thing for certain the owners won’t take responsibility for it.

Man United away. They got a crowd of almost 74000 against Derby on friday. 45% of that would be very nice. (plus the winner's prize money)

Newport away! That would be brilliant for me............. Oh, hang on............ it's not Newport on the Isle of Wight, is it? Doh!!!!! :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

Ha ha! Years ago HH I was at the IoW Festival and we went into Newport to get more beers, deodorant etc. It was pissing down so I asked one of the lads to ring us a taxi back to the site. He Google’s ‘Newport taxis’ and after making his first call, he came off the phone going ‘how f*cking rude was that Welsh taxi driver. Said it was too far...it’s only a mile away’.

I had to explain that that there were two Newport’s to him!
