not being in Coventry would essentially make us a franchise
cant stand the thought of that
They aren't building a new stadium anywhere let alone Rugby, They have clearly just spoken to rugby to end the humiliation of the foi showing them to be misleading everyone, it's been 2 years and we are further away from buying land than they told us they were right at the start. It's getting kinda ridiculous that after all this time people still believe them.
i don't think people do though. But as it just keeps coming up again and again and with us stuck between a rock and a hard place, the topic is just going to keep being talked about ad nauseum,
How much land do Rugby's council administer?
Rugby is a red herring. (or any location for that matter)
We (ccfc) are being strung along until SISU eventually make a decision about how to dispose of us.
if we break even, why would they dispose of us ?.
Because we are a shit investment ?if we break even, why would they dispose of us ?.
Organising a protest against ccfc doing it, I don't think it will happen but would depend where it was.Where are those posters who now think franchising is positive if it's good for business?
I think even if the new stadium was in Coventry, people would still find an excuse not to go anyway.

They would stu, but it's all about degrees.
There will be far less people prepared to travel to Rugby than there would to travel to the Ricoh. There is not the slightest doubt whatsoever that if any stadium was built in somewhere like Rugby the crowds would drop significantly.

protests are finished people cant be bothered any more most have moved on.Organising a protest against ccfc doing it, I don't think it will happen but would depend where it was.
If anything I would have thought the Coventry boundary would be expanded.Would prefer it to be in Coventry but where would they build it. Matton has already said there's no suitable sites in the city.
Would need to see the exact location but the area covered by RBC covers land very close to the city. If we're talking just over the boundary like Ansty, the airport or Brandon for example then it wouldn't' bother me at all to be honest.
Move us to the Daventry or Lutterworth side and that would be a totally different proposition.
For those that refuse to go if its on the wrong side of an arbitrary boundary what would you do if the boundaries were redrawn, which does happen, and the Ricoh was no longer technically in the city?

More a theoretical question than suggesting it will happen. Point being boundaries get altered yet people are treating them as some sort of unbreachable line.
