If the EC don't proceed I think that's the end of the road isn't it. Is it possible for any other action to be taken without starting up a whole new case?I doubt it, this feels like the last opportunity. If the EU commission who wrote the rules, and are likely to be the strictest enforce of them (unlike our left wing judiciary), can’t find anything then I think it will be game over in terms of the sale of the Ricoh.
I hope against a backdrop of UK government institutions removing EU involvement in our decision making processes. They might use this case as an opportunity to flex their regulatory muscles!I doubt it, this feels like the last opportunity. I think the civil action would be more likely to follow a finding of state aid, it would give a firm basis for civil action. If no such finding I doubt they would have any options left. Can’t sisu then start civil action ?
I don’t think they can, and why would they bother with what is, in the grand scheme of things, a piddling little case. Acting macho over this could be counter productive in the long run. I’m sure there are bigger fish to fry across the whole range of future relationships and undertakings with Europe.I hope against a backdrop of UK government institutions removing EU involvement in our decision making processes. Agree at the strategic leader level this will not be on anyone's radar at all. However, those reviewing the case are most likely to be far removed from those lofty echelons and might have an ideological axe to grind with UK Goverment institutions. Could be wishful thinking on my part.I don’t think they can, and why would they bother with what is, in the grand scheme of things, a piddling little case. I think people are making the best of a bad situation. I don’t believe anyone prefers cov being in Birmingham.I, like thousands of others wont go, I miss it, many of my mates go, I’ve been very tempted but I can not watch my team play home games outside the city - and I believe my not going will ultimately help us return.
All this crap about its better than playing at the Ricoh or rather stay in Brum cos the pitch and the pubs are better is a sad sad state of affairs .... city should play in our city

Totally entitled to take a moral stance and not go. But lets not forget we're a club in exile because our stadium has been occupied. If we go back as things are it will not be on ideal terms. If your intention is to get us back to the Ricoh regardless of the long term issues it puts the club in, your strategy may work. But in the meantime, the manager, the team and the club could do with your support.I, like thousands of others wont go, I miss it, many of my mates go, I’ve been very tempted but I can not watch my team play home games outside the city - and I believe my not going will ultimately help us return.

Deluded. Your actions will make absolutely no difference. You are just missing out on watching some fabulous footballI, like thousands of others wont go, I miss it, many of my mates go, I’ve been very tempted but I can not watch my team play home games outside the city - and I believe my not going will ultimately help us return.

For me it’s simple. I prefer us to stay in Brum for the rest of the season; Resaons:
- Going back to Ricoh isn’t long term sustainable
- Going back helps support Wasps financially
- I hate Wasps
- The Ricoh playing surface is an absolute joke
No although I am from cheylesmore I’m not that one. Course he is but I’m just pointing out his actions make no difference. How’s that childish or fragmenting the fan base? Don’t be so sensitiveNot Pete from chelyesmore by any chance?
Wtf is he deluded, your acid comments bring nothing but fragment our fan base
He is entitled to his opinion, drop the childish comments
They’ll be movement after the finances are sorted this year as the parent company losses and what can be used will change afterIf SISU go back it will be purely a decision based on cash flow , if we don’t go back then I strongly believe it will be Starving the Wasp nest . It could end up good for us , is it still up in the air if anything at all true ?

The flats haven't been a big success. All we need to do is win the Euromillions...I would have preferred to have moved back to our beloved Highfield Road...….. Ah, well. I can but go back to sleep and dream.....
Our ground is occupied because sisu decided to break the lease to try and bust acl.Totally entitled to take a moral stance and not go. SISU are not blameless but the price they were quoted for the ricoh was far too high so they made a commercial decision to leave and try and prove the asset was over priced by distressing it to drive the price down. Surely this is their right as a business? While that happened wasps were courted and given a deal far better than the one we refused. It is for that reason I blame the Council on two levels. 1. They were unrealistic with what they tried to charge us for the Ricoh and 2. They offered a sporting franchise a better deal than we were ever offered as they were so bitter that we proved that the stadium was over priced all along. Our ground is occupied because sisu decided to break the lease to try and bust acl.
They also repeatedly said that they were not interested in the ricoh as they were building their own ground.
Lets not lie about why we're at the pig sty.
What exactly did you expect the council to do with a 32k empty stadium? Mothball it just incase sisu were lieing?
We're here because sisu fucked up big time.
Yes the council were courting wasps before we left but were they at the ricoh before we left? No. Look closer to home to point the finger.
Nail on the head - great postSISU are not blameless but the price they were quoted for the ricoh was far too high so they made a commercial decision to leave and try and prove the asset was over priced by distressing it to drive the price down. Business is brutal and SISU played hard ball to make the Council understand how wrong their valuation was. The council then gave the stadium away cheaply amd in an underhand way to the point it could be called state aid to a rugby club as a two fingers to CCFC and SISU.
Difficult to argue with that one. But SISU is killing CCFC. If we stay as nomads the club might as well fold or rebrand. Then the travellers will have decisions to make. Would they then support the new club. Probably. If people don’t go to Brum we won’t have a club to come back or is this too much to comprehend?
Wasps have us over a barrel yet people want us back at a huge financial disadvantage what ever as long as we play in “Cov”.
We will just continue to be a small team in the 3rd division forever. Travel costs ffs it’s £5 return at many places and your back in Coventry by 6.30 at the latest.
We want our own destiny we all do but it has to be achieved and going back cap in hand isn’t going to do it.
Half the people I speak to vow never to go but these don’t go to more than 5 games a year at the Ricoh! Unless we have a huge money pot and fook Wasps off it’s either play second fiddle and go back or suffer 6k attendances until a better deal can be done.
Wasps stance is killing CCFCDifficult to argue with that one. But SISU is killing CCFC. If we stay as nomads the club might as well fold or rebrand. Then the travellers will have decisions to make. Would they then support the new club. Probably.
He's not deluded at all. He's one of several thousand who simply refuse to go to Birmingham. I respect his stance. I also respect all those that go to St Andrews.Deluded. Your actions will make absolutely no difference. You are just missing out on watching some fabulous football
Quite the contrary- a sensible post to secure the clubPathetic.
