We need to weigh up the value of 3-4k more on the attendance or keeping consistency at SA. I would prefer to stay for the remainder of the season, see it out and have a more productive discussion at the end of the season. We are in a weak bargaining position at the moment and would move back to a shit pitch to finish the season which could derail us completely.
I hear people saying we would get 17k back there if we moved, I think we all know that’s nonsense and previous seasons demonstrate this, we need to get back home but we can’t put the club at risk by a catastrophic deal which limits us down the line

SISU are not blameless but the price they were quoted for the ricoh was far too high so they made a commercial decision to leave and try and prove the asset was over priced by distressing it to drive the price down. Surely this is their right as a business? While that happened wasps were courted and given a deal far better than the one we refused. It is for that reason I blame the Council on two levels. 1. They were unrealistic with what they tried to charge us for the Ricoh and 2. They offered a sporting franchise a better deal than we were ever offered as they were so bitter that we proved that the stadium was over priced all along.

Business is brutal and SISU played hard ball to make the Council understand how wrong their valuation was. The council then gave the stadium away cheaply amd in an underhand way to the point it could be called state aid to a rugby club as a two fingers to CCFC and SISU.

The problem with this is that Sisu’s ‘hard ball’ stance involved using our football club as the hostage. They weren’t bothered about the damage to the club or the distress they caused to thousands of fans. You talk about Sisu’s rights as business people to do what they want. What about the rights of the fans who expect the owners of their football club, a cherished and much loved community asset, to look after it and make the right decisions for it’s benefit?
Sisu have used our club in their business ‘games’ and have had no thought for people or club, only minimising their losses. They have been a disaster for the club and for the city. That is not excusing Wasps or CCC it is simply telling it the way it is with regard to Sisu.
The phrase ‘it’s business’ seems to be a way of excusing what they have done to our club.

We want our own destiny we all do but it has to be achieved and going back cap in hand isn’t going to do it.
Half the people I speak to vow never to go but these don’t go to more than 5 games a year at the Ricoh! Unless we have a huge money pot and fook Wasps off it’s either play second fiddle and go back or suffer 6k attendances until a better deal can be done.

I think people are making the best of a bad situation. I don’t believe anyone prefers cov being in Birmingham.
If you can afford it, and it’s not too much of a pain In the arse in terms of travel, my advice is to get yourself up there.
As far as I can see these are the only two reasons not to attend. Especially if you miss it and are “very tempted”. I mean, and this may be controversial, it’s only football, it’s hardly a huge moral decision. It some time feels like people are proclaiming that they’re conscientious objectors or something. Get up there and enjoy watching city again!

You’ll have no argument from me on that, it isn’t right. I also think every fan that goes to St. Andrews thinks the same...we should be playing in Coventry. In the short/medium term this seems unlikely. Where would you like us to play? The Rioch doesn’t seem a viable option.

The last update I had was boxing day. I'm obviously doubtful myself now after being given the impression it was 'nailed on' for so long. A lesson in why you should never repeat these things in public! It is still possible for end of Jan I'm told, but there is a snag, but don't know what this is. If an outcome of the FCA investigation is that Wasps breach was actually more serious than known at the time and if it’s proven that they’ve deliberately cooked the books then given the severity of Saracens punishment the RFU would surely have to revisit the punishment given to Wasps at the time. There’s a big difference between accidentally doing something and deliberately doing something.
