Oh and they wouldn't be obsessing if some charity got it's money back either. They wouldn't give a Fuck.

You really are the epitome of all what's wrong in this world. That's a shocking statement.

What's any of that got to do with your shitty attitude. Seriously, that was a very inhumane statement you made. If I was you I'd go and find a very dark corner and have a very long think myself.

Why? They invest in institutions to make a return. Charities (large ones) are like hedge funds. They speculate huge amounts and pay directors quarter of a million salaries.

Charity begins at home. Why am I interested market forces determine what they get back.

For someone who once bragged about how much they do for charity as a way to put me down (backfired as I remember as it turned out I do alot more) you don't have a very high opinions of charities. In the case of hedge funds charity does indeed start at home and then stay's there. The fact that you then compare these to charities only confirms my original OP. The fact that you can't see the difference between them speaks volumes.

If you're not interested market forces determine what companies get back I assume you think SISU should sell the club for a quid, write of the debt and move on?

It's not interesting - it's bullshit oh and let's also mention the fact none of those clubs are actually expanding and none occupy a stadium owners by a Maltese based hedge fund who moved a club 90 miles from home.

Those pesky details eh?
We should occupy a stadium owned by a Cayman Islands based hedge fund who moved us 43 miles !

And yet occupy a stadium gifted to a Maltese one who moved 85 miles permanently!

Its hypocrisy like this that is a massive problem for CCFC.

I assume 20,000 could be done if it starts at 15 but actually I'm an existing season ticket holder so get first dibs so I don't give a fuck if it's 10,000 as I will me going. Honestly I don't care.

But expansions don't happen remember, silly, so you won't get your 20k.
Don't worry I will have a pint with you in ardvark, we will get in for the capital one cup or the Wilkinsons Cup as it will be know by then

So just to be clear are we talking about the people from outside of London, formally of London messing our club up.
The people partly from London/America
The local Charity
Or the local Council.
Or your normal favourite the fans of the club screwing the club up and getting the club they deserve?

How many clubs are talking about down sizing? ( just Seen Dongo has already asked ) cannot see the answer... Have I missed it?
How many clubs are matchday only tenants, renting off another sports club with no option to ever buy or wholey 365 day lease their ground?

I don't particularly want us to down size (although I'd be happy with 25k), but we're in Noway in the same position as all those other clubs. If we want a bigger stadium, I suggest Don and every other cov fan lobbies their local councillor to get then to out pressure on the LA to find suitable land which hasn't been ear marked for housing and offer it to ccfc.

And at the day this is just a concept, the club have not made a decision regarding which is the best long term financial option.

I agree we don't have much choice at this moment in time... But I would be careful of tying us long term to the Butts and I am not going to keep trying to convince myself and others that a 15000 stadium is progress and to be desired. It is not. BPA is in area that is convenient - but that is all. It is a sad step that may have to be taken, but long term we have to find a site and we have to work with the council. If we were to get a 10 year deal at the Ricoh and make peace with CCC ( requires CCC making peace with us at the same time ), it would give us more time to find a site - more chance of a site becoming available. BPA has to be pursued in the meantime...but noone should kid themselves that this is our salvation...

Liverpool are but that's Liverpool, other teams I believe are looking to move to bigger or
expand there current capacity are , Norwich, palace, West Ham, Leicester, Swansea,
Man city, Bournemouth, Everton, hull ,there may be others .

I put the link up the other day. Lots in the pipeline. Doesn't mean of course 100% it's going to happen, but there was quite a list of clubs planning to expand.

To be honest I would prefer the BPA site.
However I am at a loss why it is suddenly 15k?
We plan to be in the championship after next season so the plan should be 18-23 first build.
Not so long ago we were trying to get Rugby council to agree to an 18k stadium. In a location that will be less popular. Whilst under a manager and with a team that was less popular.
So I don't understand the drop to 15k all of a sudden.
Then I would like to know is 25k a self imposed restriction by SISU or is that all you can physically do with that site?
If it is and BPA isn't suitable, then it should be Browns Lane for me.
It was set aside for Aston Martin. Who chose elsewhere.
Still go in with CRFC. Get the BPA sold for housing to help with the funding. Build a hotel and shopping park.
Council could set the land aside and give the club a deadline in which time to make sufficient progress otherwise it goes for housing.
I assume if they could put a car factory there they could put a stadium.
Also we must be able to find somewhere within Coventry. Before it had to be st least 60 acres and there wasn't any 60 acre sites in Coventry.
Now it only has to be the size of BPA.
So there must quite a few locations like that around.

And the roads in and out would make it a better site shame not many pubs about.

You keep repeating this line, but aside from joining you to protest outside the Council House what else could anyone do, and how did it make any difference? Unless you were a multi millionaire and could purchase the Ricoh lease yourself there was nothing anyone could do.

It didn't make any difference because when the councillors looked out their windows and saw five or six people outside they realised they could do what they want. You missed your chance then don't miss the next one

I would love to have joined you but couldnt, I still dont think thousands would have made a difference though. Whichever, I certainly respect the fact that you were there.

Sadly in todays society where our very own Politicians live by the greed is good mantra, money talks, and Wasps had it and CCC took it. (Yes I wish CCFC had had it, and hadnt f*cked up and missed the boat)

Think that's sort of the point Moff. The people who regularly accuse others of rolling over didn't actually do anymore or any less than most of those they accuse.

Take me for instance. I boycott Wasp games, always have always will. IIRC there was a couple of petitions going around just before the event against it, I signed them. Yet I'm one of the regular targets for this accusation. So if I rolled over so did my accusers and the truth is they didn't do as much as some who they've also accused of rolling over in the past.

Course they did play proper politics of moving the time of the meeting at short notice, to stop any possible protest in its tracks.

Not saying hundreds would have turned up at the original time(!) but it didn't help!
